I wanted to thank all those MMORPG.com forum users who told me about all of the following GREAT, FREE programs out there that get rid of viruses, bugs, spyware, and adware ! Thanks!
Here are the programs they have recommended to me and I will recommend to you.
avast! AntiVirus:
Obviously and antivirus program. Runs fantastic, takes on average 2 hours on my computer. 100% free and personally, I think it's 5000x better than Norton Antivirus. Norton is a weed compared to this gorgeous flower. It is free for life. The only thing you must do, is register after 90 days. I guess that's the only way I can support them, registering. Well, I'm all for it!It is available at http://www.avast.com.
Ad-Aware:
Great program that gets rid of all Adware! (Adware is kind of like small programs that are downloaded onto your computer to send information to a computer somewhere, I think. All I know, is that it is a security risk.) It works great and is pretty fast running at less than 10 minutes, sometimes less than 5. Depends on how many Adware you have tucked away. Spybot:
Spybot is a program that gets rid of all the Spyware programs. I'm not exactly sure what spyware does, I think it is also like ad-aware but it is more of a security risk. hehe. It is available at http://www.downloads.com. Search for Spybot.
Mozilla Firefox:
Mozilla is one of the best things that have ever happened to this computer and to me. I don't know what I would do if I lived off of Internet Explorer for the rest of my life, or Netscape Navigator for that matter. Mozilla is so great it is unbelievable. It's the most customizable browser in the world. It has more security feature than IE or NN. In fact, the government recommends users stay away from the Microsoft based browser IE because of a security risk. If you download anything this summer, download this! It has a great interface too. You can get Mozilla Firefox at http://www.mozilla.org.
Advanced System Optimizer:
I was recommended this program because I wanted to get those damn programs that load when you turn your computer on. It worked, it also got rid of a lot of files that wern't even being used. It's a nice program, but people tend to stear clear of optimizers because they can do stuff with your computer you might not like. If you know what you're doing, then this is a great program. I don't know too much, and for the time being, I'm keeping this program. There is only a 30 day free trial. I might have to pay after that or just register, I don't know. This concludes some of the greatest, free downloads in the history of mankind. If you have any other free, great programs, please recommend them!! I will take any other great, free programs out there!
*I also switched my e-mail provider from hotmail to Yahoo. I did it because Hotmail has lots of spam, very little space, and bad interface. Yahoo is the better switch.*

Wow, that Avast thing found 16 viruses on my PC in just an hour! Too bad it's not free, registration means you pay. Another program I would reccomend is the Internet Download Manager. Search for it at Download.com. I used it for the EQ trial thing, without it the download would have taken nearly a day, with it it took 3 hrs. 1.6 gb in 3 hours. It's very useful. It's free for 60 days, and $30 to buy. If you have the money to spend, I'd say it's worth it, I plan to register it when 60 days is up.

No, it's free, you pay nothing when you register. Trust me, I'm the one who recommended Avast! to the site, I've been using it forever now, and I've never paid a dime.

Ad-Aware is a security risk because (believe it or not) it contains it's OWN spyware. I was shocked when I found this out from a professional computer programmer. Spybot is much better.

Does anyone have a good firewall? I need a firewall, someone has been trying to hack my dad's computer all day and this one isn't safe.

Agree.. all those program's are the best i could think off especially Mozilla.. the best browser in the world..
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I don't want to pay. I might buy a firewall later. lol i'm such a cheap ass. Does anyone know a free firewall?

I wasn't crazy about blackIce. I just got Zone Alarm. It is free anyways, so I don't feel guilty taking it. :]

My session with Advanced System Optimizer ended! It was a good program too! Does anyone know of a different free, great system optimizer that I can trust? It costs $30 to buy the damn thing. I don't want to pay that. :[
Can anyone also tell me how to download Internet Explorer? My dad's mad because I got rid of it.

-Tweak XP is a good program that I use to help optimize my computer and clean out all that crap. You do have to pay for it but you get 30 executions before the trial runs out. Had the program for 6 months now and still have 16 left.
