    Play I-VI.

    Simple answer. You seem to like Final Fantasy. Considering IV and VI are numbers one and two in the top three (VII being three), you shouldn't be bored playing them.

    Don't you dare give me crap about graphics either. Graphics do not matter. They only matter (slightly) in MMORPGs and matter 100% in FPS games.

    FF7 was fantastic but its overhyped. Many people liked it just because it was their first Final Fantasy (first experience always has that special feeling, no?)

    FF3= Groundbreaking characters and storyline.
    FF7= Groundbreaking graphics and cinematics.

    Anyways it sounds like you're looking for a mmorpg with a strong storyline and character development; i don't think any mmorpgs out right now are like that...

    But EQ2 and Tabula Rasa are both looking good in terms of providing a good RP environment. Tabula Rasa has quests that are as complex as a single-player rpg, and it merges fantasy elements with sci-fi much like FF7-X.

    you gotta give 7 it's due though.  Plotwise it was probably the best most of us had ever seen in a video game.  And I actually really like 9, sad though it may seem.  Very easy but with a system that harked back to much earlier in the series.

    I agree with you on Tab Ras, Genjing.  Looks exceedingly promising.  I'm just praying that after the huge cuts made recently that it doesn't fall by the wayside too.  Not likely, I admit, but stranger things, etc.  I'm looking forward to Guild wars (bit o fun Tm) and Saga of Ryzom.  In fact, I've been plugging it for a while now for no reason other than I think it has the most potential from a MMORPG newbie as I've seen in the genre.  Sure, EQ2 will rock, Sony have the experience.  But SoR will carve a niche for itself, I'm sure.

    FFVI was the best. I still play it to this day, and I am praying for a GBA Port so i can play it on my SP. Ide really like to see Square port all the old FF's 1-6 to the GBA in some way. 7 was good, but overhyped. most of the 'new' FF players were introduced to the series with 7, and never got to enjoy the awesomeness of the true classics like FF6.

    I think the series started to slightly suck after 7 , ff8 ,9,10 were all garbage imo . Well 9 was ok
