play off and on - works for me

everytime I renew, I start on a different server to start over

then I quit again when I reach 70  hehe

WoW was a great game 1-60, then 70.  Played it for a couple of years, about 4 chars to max level.  Blizzard does a great job until endgame for normal players with a life.  Actually I'd still be playing it if not for the wowbrats.  It's just too irritating having beggers everywhere, scores of people that can't make a sentence without 4 variations of the f-word, and that silly naked elf dancing everywhere.  I may go back in another year and see if the community improved..the quests were great until they simply got too long and hard in the instances for anyone other than hardcore guild members.  One day realized I was only playing because I already had so much time invested.

I'm happily playing LotRO now on the Nimrodel server...truly an excellent PvE game with an excellent community...and simply a beautiful game..just the right blend of fantasy and reality in the landscape, sky, and weather.

  • I came back to wow once, about two months after TBC was released.  However, the game was just boring in every area, and the bind on pickup is such a turnoff that I just couldn't force myself to continue playing the game.  That being said, wow still is the best MMO on the market.  However, it's just not "complete" enough for me (wow is just raid or die, no ifs and or buts about it).  I still want to play it too, but I know that if I come back I will regret it in a very short amount of time.

If the OP's reasoning is near the same as mine, I certainly don't recommend going back to wow.  Enjoy real life until an MMO comes out that is worthy of our time and effort.  Wow in its current form simply isn't worth the time and effort.

Don't hold your breath.  WoW is not made for the intellectual crowd, and will always attract the kiddie and ezmode crowd.  Either you accept this audience, or you play another game.  That's pretty much the bottom line of the matter.

you talk about it attracting the kiddies and ezmode crowd but then you whine(kiddies) about having to raid(ezmode) to get gear. i'm lvl 70 and i want the best gear in the game with little or no effort....lol ain't happening so you're right to not come back.

Truely I liked 1-60 but, 60-70 Was some of the worst Levels I've ever played. I still play it from time to time but, It just isn't worth it. I play LOTRO now am Very happy as a Captain ..

Lol you hate wow yet you want to play it?  Yet you want raid items and pvp items, but dont want to spend the time getting it?  So you just want everyhthing free?  I suggest going to the private servers, then you will realise what its like to have everything you desire in 10 seconds.  Then when your back after 10 seconds reevalute what you want again.

There's something sooo addictive about WoW you can hate the hell out of it for its pointless gear oriented gameplay and endless dull raiding and repetitive pvp but after a while you want to come back again lol. No other MMO or game in general has that effect on me, I guess its the way its designed. Thank god I've sold my account to totally discourage myself from starting it again though.

Redefine your role in the game. If you dont like end game, then focus on the progression levels

the thing about wow is you continue to want to play cause it would be so awesome if you could just...

...find 24 other awesome people and roll raid dungeons all day

    ...dominate with your arena team

    ...lead a guild that rules

    and many more things.

Then it takes you months to realize that none of that stuff is going to come true.

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
if I were to kill a titan tomorrow and no CCP employees showed up to say grats I would petition it.
Waiting for: the next MMO that lets me make this macro
    if hp < 30 then CastSpell("heal") SpellTargetUnit("player") else CastSpell("smite") end
