Im looking for a new mmo...Set in space...like EVE or Darkspace....Ive been looking for a while found a few played a few...there arent many out there....and if there are i just cant find them...So any imput would be greatly appreciated

Freelancer is cool it's in space, and you can buy ships and trade stuff etc i like it
there will be lots of games comming like EvE but they are in beta now i have only found one game called Darskapce its not free its 10 dollars monthly but it very cool game with ships planet building and stuff..!
There is also 10 Days Trial so you can c if you like it or not !!!

Final note, the next "chapter" for SWG gives a fair amount of love to the whole space side of the game.

well if u only play in space then i suggest SWG. its pretty fun (best of all its a fps space combat system (only one around i think)). but be weary of the ground...its pretty bad
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
My recommendation is Vendetta Online. Its very different than other space based games like EVE but it is based in space. Its twitch based so you control your ships movements firing and can strafe dive duck roll and etc. There is an 8 hour game time trial that can really give you a feel of the game. No credit card required.

oooo vendetta online, havent heard that game mentioned in quite a while. imo that games not worth playing ever since it went gold and they made the universe way too big......still the old days with SAW were some of my best gaming experience. well i guess its worth a try if u want a space game.
id recommend a 2d space game like Star Sonata or something along those lines, just because 3d space mmos are rare and usually have major flaws.
Hahaha swg....*sigh*...Great game...Nge sucks...i played it for quite a while pre nge..and a little of nge...i would still play it now but....tbh i dont think the player base is big enougth its quite boring....

..btw Jumpgate evolution Look good...and so does infinity...but infinity is still in develepment....ive been watching it for a while...But sadly...its not gunna be out for 1-2 years :P well it gives me time to buy a new gfx card so i can even think about playing it....
Don't forget there is an original Jumpgate as well. Very Twitched based. I personally have played with a joystick, it really gets you more into it. There may be a low pop online at the wee hours of the night, but during prime time there normally is always someone to find to do stuff with if teamwork is a goal, or just go into another races space and flip a beacon, you will attract plenty of attention
. Other then that, I'm afraid there isn't much out yet.
Space is likely to become more appealing very soon with the next update being focused almost completely on the Space part of the game with new ships, Collections and even instances (this hasn't been confirmed by the Devs other then that there will be new instances with the update. If so, it'll be a first for the space part of the game tho).
i shall take a look at the next swg upadate....
Ahhh well thanks for all the input every one...im sure ill find summat to keep me occupied for a while...ive currently been playing Dawn Of War: Dark Cruisade....Not an mmo...but a bloody good game...
