I was wondering what the end game of tabula rasa was like are there raids/instances? how much of the game is based on equipment and armour? as i like trying to get the best armour and doing raids in big groups. So i was just wondering if this game would be good fro me. Iv'e been looking at it for a while and i like the look of it alot but the computer i have at the moment isn't good enough to run it so im getting a new one for Xmas i was wondering wether to carry on LOTRO or start a new on tabula rasa.

the end-game is, in a word, nonexistant

the current idea is to have you roll a new toon and start all over again once you hit level cap

    neat, huh?

Stick with WOW or EQ2 (or even LotRO) because so far TR doesn't have an announced end game yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see one emerge in the next 6 months.

Stick to LoTR and wait a few months, TR as it stands is nothing more than an empty level grind fest with very repetative missions.

it looks as though they will be adding a small amount of added content into the game later Jan/early feb, but the main content addition won't be hitting the servers until late 2008

looks like my initial assesment of 'wait 6 monhs and look again' was optimistic

In January ?? They were talking about every 2 weeks wtf

Well i reached lvl 30 already and the whole excitement i had the first 25 lvl is nonexistent anymore. The Game starts to get really boring for me, no aim for endgame, i have cash over 1 mill ingame currency and nothing to do with it !! wtf, the lag is still terrible and the current ms numbers are just faked or plain wrong..but 3-4 days ago performance was quiete better - did change already again for the worse, your equipment/armor looks almost same like with lvl5.

Your weapons look exactly the same i.e. a lvl 5 shotgun looks like a lvl 32 shotgun, not much mob diversification and the first excitement about AI did vanish, its fun to capture cps the first 25lvl but later on you are already bored fighting only AI and getting the same old defence/assault token missions....i did cancel my account already, was really positivie first and it was fun the first lvls but when i reached mid-end game and got my endgame skills (or at least a huge part of it) i got really bored about the game. I have more the feeling its a singleplayer shooter with multiplayer options, if you see more about mid-end game you get the feeling its only a half finished game. Now that i see already mid-high end game content, i wonder for what this game got such high reviews for really shallow content/gameplay. I really wonder what the devs were thinking and what the gamers has to do, except killing the same mobs again and again without a goal. I really thought after 2 weeks the game will be polished a lot, but almost no commnication with the company, no official forums, one patch which did fix some bugs but really could not fix the lag issues and we dont talk about content which is the most important. I really did try this game and liked it a lot at the beginning, but the last 3-4 days showed me this game cant hold its promises and is not finished yet and worth 15 bucks a month.

We are going to see a lot more posts like this as players begin to reach the end of their free month.  This has been my complaint about TR for months now.  TR is a fun, exciting game for awhile.  But it doesn't last very long and is certainly not worth a monthly fee to play.

I dont care how long it takes them for an expansion, as long as it brings something new to the table,

but look at WoW and City Of Heroes

It took COH a year to mkae their first expansion and WoW 3 Years!!! So I dont think this is any major news.

Plus look at what they are adding in the first update for the game, PAU and Hybrids.

Thats more than most mmo's get in a years time by far. The only other game I have seen pump out so many good features early on is SWG.

Which no one can argue seeing as they put out Vehicles, Mounts, Player Cities, and a Space Expansion.

Thats worthy of a monthly fee as I know TR will be.

Are these players going to be the majority or the minority?

I've been busy with work lately and haven't played much, but I'm still at 18 and not going anywhere real fast as far as levels go.  Then again I'm doing what I feel is fun at the moment, whether it be defending a CP or running missions.

I'm curious as to how the "buddy passes" are playing out. The offer started 11/14 and just last three days each--

How many of you who have given out trial passes have hit "pay dirt," and recruited a paying customer for TR--and gotten you a free month of play on TR?

And the sales at Amazon are still dropping. In the RPG category, TR is now in the twenties, lower than the first version of GW

Until you spread your wings, you have no idea how far you can walk.

That's what I've been trying to tell people.  TR rocks for a week or two.  Then you hit the nothingness.  It's like a good platform (minus lack of emotes and other non-combat tools) without any content, diversity, immersiveness, or interest.  I don't doubt that they could continue to upgrade this game until it was great, but how long will that take?  I mean, they had how long to deliver the current product and it doesn't even have an endgame.  There are like 10 enemies, 20 weapons, and 20 armors.  And 1 playable race.

actally according to a resent report the first 'content patch' is Dec 10th...

With regards to 'endgame' yes there will be non-instanced 'raid'/multigroup things called 'flash points' thinking by the sounds of it it feels WAR's Public quest like thingy, theres command squading (see GW's mercs/heroes me thinks) and also Clan controled CPs, so there IS a lot to it however....

    It's the case of when...

    Bring on the WARRRRGGHH!
