Reactivating trial accounts / Australian players

I just want to know whether you can reactivate a trial account with the retail version of the game, thus continuing with the character created in the 3 day trial.
Or do you have to create a new account to play with the retail version?
Also, what version of Tabula Rasa is available in Australian stores? The US version or the EU?

yes, the account you make for the trial can be upgraded with a retail key and carried over. you dont lose your 3 day progress

Australian stores carry the US version. Although you will still be able to play on any of the four servers regardless of the version. Yet another good thing that came out of beta.
