puddinloverpuddinlover Member Posts: 30

Well it first started with FreestyleStreet Basketball, game was differnt and really fun for me but it lacked over all features.

Also tried Drift City, and Gunbound and today I am downloading all the ijji games and Shot Online and all the OGplanet games and Fishing Champ.

What I am asking is there a great game like there?  Basiclly that is free but you buy stuff for your guy..... something DIFFFERNT from wow or everquest ect.... not fantasy (unless it is a kick ass one) but something DIFFERNT.

What I am reallyl ooking for a a great combat one that isnt bassed on a anima or a really good sorta like sports one or something of that "skill"

or if you coudl tell me  good companies of  of great "micro payment" type games.

Ty for any help

The game you listed aren't MMORPGS. You could argue that they aren't really MMOs in a traditional sense and be right on the money. What you're looking for is a free game and there are scads of those.

Totally free FPS game that are worth a damn:

Warsow - Cell Shaded Quake 2. A little hard to learn but totally worth it. It also has bots you can practice against.

America's Army - Yes, it's recruiting propaganda but it's also and exceptionally well made tactical shooter.

Tremoulous - Aliens vs. soldiers with hint of RTS.

Now let's move on to Totally free RTS games that are decent:

Glest - A generic fantasy RTS, but about as good as it gets.

Simutrans - Open source Transport Tycoon.

S.W.I.N.E. - Used to be a commercial rip off of Worms 3D. Now it's free.

Enemy Nations - The best RTS that nobody played. Now you can for free.

    Here are some free RPGs:

Ancient Domains of Mystery - This is a rogue-like and you will either love it or hate it.

Dink Smallwood - Been around forever and it's actually pretty good with a large mod community.

Elder Scrolls: Arena - Yep, Oblivions great, great, grandaddy. Still worth playing.

But if you're looking for crappy Korean item shop games:

Perfect world - It's kinda like WoW with flying..... But not quite.....

Archlord - Totally grindtastic with open PvP after lvl 35. You can also earn the title of  "Archlord" and rub everyone's nose in your U|33R 1337||3ZZ!!!111!

FlyFF - So cute and colorful it'll make you sick. It's also about as popular as Maple story. Now I've depressed myself....

Crappy Korean item shop games that aren't MMOs:

Wolf Team - Your standard Counter-Strike knock off with the twist that you can turn into a werewolf. This game grows on you over time though, so it's worth looking past its obvious deficiencies.

Kwon Ho - A blatant rip off of Tekken.

Kart Rider - A blatant rip off of Mario Kart.

War Rock - Battlefield 2, Korean style with graphics straight out of the year 1999. K2 runs this one so it's probably advisable to just stay far, far away from this one. It was good back when it was still in beta and not under K2 which is the only reason I'm mentioning it now.

Navy Field - WW2 tactical real-time with an item shop. You just have to play this to understand WTF it is.

So there you go. Enough free stuff to keep you occupied through a nuclear winter. Enjoy.

Thank you for that game list but i have tried all of those, (looking into the few i didnt)

I am not stupid lol, ive been online gaming since i was about 12 (now 17) and I have played "them all" untill recently I hated F2P mmo's I have played from CS 1.5 to all the new FPS (excluding COD4) and ive played all the P2P from everquest one and up!! even the most recent ones Vanguard and LOTRO ect... even played a shit load of f2p mmorpgs in my goal to find a mmorpg better than wow (there isnt)but after I quit wow to start on my own mmorpg (Yes iam not a flippen idiot there either i have been taking pc info science for 2 years and programming for atleast 4, so dont flame me on how hard it is to make a mmorpg!)

I lost all interest to MMORPG's (Untill I get AoC or Warhammer beta) but i picked up on "freestyle street B-ball" from a xfire ad and I enjoyed just how differnt it was compared to a normal mmorpg remined me of Gunbound a little but my point is iam asking you what kidn of "differnt" mmorpg comapnies or acaul games are out there... Not the normal grindfest and swinging a sword... something totally differnt!  since i never looked into it (i googled real quick before i went to programming this morning like i said above i dled all those about to try them) wondering if someone could hlep me find a great one... i like the sorta feel you get when u play a free game and u can buy shop items... dotn ask me y but BAH iam loosing myself here.... WHAT "MMORPGS" ARE THERE THAT DONT HAVE A SWORD AND ARE NOT A GRIND FEST AND, in other words somethign that people dont really consider to be a mmorpg, like probelly doesnt make sense to you but i hope someone can make sense of what i have typed.

P.S. My grammer blows iam dyslexic and when i say MMORPG i mean a online game that is a client and has a fair amount of people playing it... and technically mmorpg can stand for any game liek that becuase they are online and you are palying the role of some1 / somethign else.

much love though to those that try to help me

Well not to sure how you will reciev this but icurrently play a game called EvE online its a Sci-Fi trading space PvP MMO.

It has over 500 different ships with different roles.

It has over 200,000 players on the same server [there is only one]

It is MASSIVE in scale as it has over 6,000 star systems and each being the size of a real one.

Joining a Guild [corperation] is important here.

Its skill based over time not level based.

And its getting a graphics overhaul this mnth we think to a modern level.

    Its also P2P

And has a free 14 day no credit card needed trial.

You could also try out Dance! Online. It's DDR meets Online Gaming. F2P with a money shop. You can play with keyboard or with dance pad. Something totally different at least.
