games like eve out there?

in EVE Online

are there any other space based mmos out there like eve? something that is not as pvp oriented?

    Nothing worth playing... though theres quite a few single player and multiplayer space based games.

    Nada. Believe me, i looked around for anything similar, but there simply isnt anything.

    I believe there are a few in development.  Unfortunately I do not recall the names of them.

    There *are* a few single player based PC games which are like EVE though.  X3 is a few years old which should mean most of todays machines can display it with nearly maximum graphics. I believe you can also pilot capital ships in X3 if you advance far enough...

    I'm in the process of hooking the PC up to the 42" plasma just for EVE and X3.  :)

     Well as far as I know there are no other space mmos like eve.But I can suggest Freelancer,it's a SP space sim,and I belive some people still play online on some servers.Servers are sandbox style,no DM,CTF etc.

    There is no other game like EVE. EVE constantly changes so ther will never be a game like EVE.

    Well there are NO space based MMO's apart from eve right now. There used to be a PvE centered one much like eve but it failed becuase a PvE centred MMO was really just like a fantasy MMO in a different skin.

     

    Also taking away the PvP in EvE .....what would you have left? You cant sell goods after all as noone will be losing it because NPC's are too predicable.

    Also the NPC content is something that wouldnt last 3 months.

    You see as much as you dont like PvP its what drives EvE it drives the Economy. It drives the polotics and it drives the [strangly enough] the NPC section of eve.
