after DAOC....what do you recommend ??

I played DAOC on and off for 5 years and have moved on.I am waiting for AOC and WAR but would like a recommendation if you have one.I liked the RVR of DAOC....owned multiple houses...and crafted though the crafting is just awfull.What I particularly liked was battling other players to conquer or defend a keep or tower.

(not looking for FFA gankfeast)

    You will probably like World of Warcraft the best. Arguably the best out there atm.

    If you just like some straight up RvR type action without grind, then try something like Rakion.  No it is not really an MMOG, but it is a good little filler and you can choose a team based game or solo. 

    The thing that is cool about it, it is a lot more skill based than any MMOG you are going to play.  To me, DAoC was the most skill based of any MMOG(I didn't really play AC much, but I'm more of a melee type so I don't think I would have considered it more skill based anyway).  Of course equipment had a huge impact on the outcome, but atleast you had positionals and reactionaries that made the game more interactive. 

    Like I said, Rakion is just a filler.  At first you will probably play it a good bit to try and figure out how to do the moves.  Over time you'll play it in spurts and usually prob want play it more than 2 or 3hrs at a time. 

    Note to ya though, there is no housing or crafting or anything like that.  This is just something to get in there and have fun, if you like fighting other teams(or solo if you want).

    I know this is only partially of what you are asking for, but I think you would have a lot of fun in it if you like skill based type combat.  You will have to find something else for your PvE and crafting game.  Maybe you could try Perfect World or something for that and Rakion for your PvP type needs.  And to top it off, both are free so you really aren't loosing anything trying them.
