Hi everyone, I have been doing my research on these forums and some others about TR, and as a very early beta tester, I can say this game was ROUGH!!  Yet, I see testimonial after testimonal talking about how the new game is so much better.  Now, my question is why?  Specifically how is the leveling, community, and computer requirements changed?

I found this game, though highly anticipated, highly difficult to become immersed in, even amidst the buzz of beta.  I genuinely want to like this game, but my concrete experiences has forced me to feel otherwise.  Please help.

    Great game. Enjoying it immensely. Fast pased, out of control combat. No perceived grind. Immersive.

    Get into it and stop wasting time.

    Yeah I feel the same as the OP I played beta too and was very dissapointed, it was a game I was really looking forward to. So if anyone can answer the OP's question as to what exactly has changed since Beta and why its all of a sudden so good now it would be helpful to alot of people ,because lets be totally honest it was very average in Beta.

    How about you 2 tell us what was so bad in the early stages of beta and was disappointing  and we will tell you what has or has not chnaged about the issues you had with the game.

    Or perhaps just ask for a 3 day key?  Nothing we can say will compare to experiencing something for yourself.

    As a late beta player I saw two faults with the game;
    the mobs was too easy, your choice of weapon or ability didn't matter much and the game lacked social content (auctions, housing, uninteresting crafting, etc) which make the game feel shallow.

    Just before the game went live the mobs became more difficult, not hard but enough to make you think about what you're doing.

    But the game still lack in social gameplay. Auctions are coming soon though.

    Still, I have fun. The game fits my schedule nicely

    I beta tested for a bit in its early phase.  I hated it, I was really upset that the game I waited about 3 years for turned into something that seemed so linear and diluted.  I deleted it after a few weeks and didnt think I would ever purchase it.

    so the reviews came in after release, I decided without even getting a buddy key to purchase the Limited Edition and a strat guide.  I dont regret it at all.  The graphics have improved dramatically, the performance is a LOT better then it was.  I really got absorbed into the game as soon as I loaded the retail copy.

    There were a lot of elements of the game that I did like in beta, but the game just seemed unclean and just slopped together.  Its definitely not the case anymore.

    so, depending on what you didnt like about the game originally may depend on wether or not you'll like it.  I love it
