Trial or Buddy Code?

in Ultima Online

I want to try this game but I don't really want to dump any money into it until I try it. Is there anyone who bought the Anniversary Edition that would like to give me a buddy code?

Or does anyone know if there is a free trial? (kinda weird for a game this old and popular not to have a trial)

    I did that but apparently you have to pay for a subscription and you get 15 days free. Am I missing something?

    Ok I understand now, you sign up and put in your billing info and then u can cancel and still play your free 15 days/30 days.

    I got the client installed, but when I try to connect it just says lost connection...

    WTF

    Gigex claims that a trial code will appear in a new window once the download is complete. It doesn't. Fellow MMORPGers, let us forsake the land known as UO. EA has screwed it up too much to be any fun. Note that UO is the only advertised mmorpg out there that has a "free" trial that involves this much work to try the frickin' game. UO dying? Good riddance.
