Well that depends on what mainboard you've got currently ;). If your mainboard is PCI-e 1.0a or 1.1 your screwed, cause the geforce 9 will only support PCI-e 2.0, and there are not many mainboards out there at this point that support 2.0.

Everyone can spend as much as you do, if they wanted. But most don't, cause it's a waste of money, but mostly, it shows how dumb a person can be, when it comes to getting a PC. And someone who's smart, will never spend 3k on hardware that will be outmoded several months later.

Sure, SLI is fine, but did you know you only get a 35% boost with SLI? I mean, if you knew that, you wouldn't have SLI. Cause you paid like 600 bucks for each card, and only using 1 at max and the other at 35%, not to forget that many games don't even support SLI.

    Like I said before, you've just wasted 3k... .

As i previously said, money isn't a problem, I havn't wasted anything as i make that amount every few days.

I really don't mind if the hardware goes out of date in a few weeks, couple of months or over a year ago the 7950's were top, they're still players and many people own them and can play high end games.

I bought this PC to play the current line of games, If a game or software comes out that i want buy cant use I'll just upgrade again.

Ok, every few days? So what kind of job do you have? Drug traffic? Selling stolen goods? Ebay?

liquid cooling is junk, no need for that. parts are made to run cooler now.

unless your oc'ing, which would be retarded for your system anyways.

Well, if it's that hard to say, than it's either a lie or something illegal.

It's not about whether its hard to say or not, It's just not relevant, I don't feel the need to say what my job is in an online forum.

Forgive me for saying this, it is just my opinion. But if you really do have a rig like this then you honestly have more money than brains.

I just bought a new rig: AMD 4600 X2, SLI 8500GTX 512mb each, 2gigs of DDR RAM, and a 210gig HD. All together this cost me around $850, and I would bet that my rig will be able to run almost every game out there for over 2 years (btw if your interested I can play Crysis on very high as well with no problems at all and I seem to get anywhere from 60-70 fps)

Sorry but your rig is great, and a waist of money, you could have saved yourself about 2K and been fine for any games coming out in the next 2-3 years. Now you have a system that will be fine for gaming for 5-6 years but has a higher chance of having tech problems in that larger amount of time due to its age. Just unwise in my opinion, sorry but I tend to speak my mind way to often :)

It's really NP, money isn't a problem currently, But i agree, my brains and definitely smaller than my wallet.

I've been using PC's for around 15 years so i can deal with any technical problems that will inevitably arise with any computer.

First of all you know nothing about PC's if you been using them for 15yrs. Second you are 27 yrs old in your profile and you say you been using PC's for 15yrs which means you where 12 when you used a PC? Must of been a smart kid or rich parents???

Anyway it is funny how people leave their emails up to do some research. Your email in your profile is the same email listed on a link I found for a banned forum user selling scam ibots or something. The forum moderator found out your scam and how you are making your money is from online scams and probably selling fake gold sales to people.

Lets be honest for a second shall we. People can read that forum and go to page 2 where the admin caught you for scamming and banned you. Well at least this answers the question how you make your money scamming on the net.

The link to your banned forum account and your selling scam.  www.rscheata.net/tp/index.php/topic,12565.0.html   Forum user name there is sam123jo0123 with email the same as your profile here.

Can you say BURNED! Ohh BTW your PC specs make no sense at all, for 15yrs of computing you obviously don't know much. Cheers.

EDIT: OMG LOL just put 2 and 2 together and on another forum post here your actually the one who was involved in that hacker thing maybe? Is that why you asked about it in this thread? That begs the question now, since you was caught scamming and using stolen paypal accounts then that thread here when your asking about that hacker or something is you or a friend of yours? www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/1731472#1731472

[ Edited:  statements removed do to info in previous posts somehow missed by me ]

Am i crazy or is the thread acting a bit weird for anyone else? I somehow missed about half the posts that came before mine until i looked today, and clicking the thread leads me to single posts that says i am reading page 7 of 5  ?????

I would like to know what kind of rigs the Devs are using though, since testers aren't allowed to talk about anything. My rig is an e6750, 2 gigs of ram and a single 8800gt on xp32, and after seeing the newest video today, i have alot of doubt about my system being good enough to enjoy this stunning game. If anyone is allowed to talk about it, i would appreciate a little insight on what to expect, i heard something like a March release, which doesn't give me much time to save cash, and i just want to have some idea how much money i'm going to have to dish out.

If you can run Oblivion you can run AoC.

I doubt it, oblivion is a single player game it doesn't require the system specs of a multiplayer game. I can run oblivion on the highest settings with my computer, but i lag like hell if I tried to put say lord of the rings online on the highest settings.

I think though if you can get the higest settings on oblivion you could probably get mid settings on this game, and if you run oblivion on medium most likely you will have to run on the lowest settings in this game especially with all the things going on like sieges, hundreds on npcs and players fighting etc.

Edit forgot to say it depends how well optimized the game is oblivion is a very well optimized game from what i have seen. My above prediction is based on the fact that most games are not as well optimized.

  • daylight01daylight01 Member Posts: 2,250

Well I have also heard if you can run oblivion then you will be able to run AoC in some form,Anyway I dont have that good a system with 3200+,7600gt and 2bg ram but it ran LOTR on high settings with no lag and even got a decent go at vanguard so I am guessing if your specs are near to this or better then you will have no problem getting AoC to run well.

Building a computer like that is a complete waste of money.

If you've used computers for 15 years and "have no problems fixing them", you'd already know running a 650 watt with 2 8800 Ultra's is a silly thing to do. I call BS, or just someone wanting attention.

  • DirossDiross Member Posts: 179

Now this is a very funny post from the OP,  LOL.

I understand that you are trying to get everyone to see that you have a nice system...heck the system I built is slightly below yours, however we as gamers all know for certain that technology changes every 6 months on average and that your system will be outdated within a years time. While I'm no professional gamer, I'm not sure even if I were one that I'd want to have a system like yours. Paying for premium technology isn't the best route for me personally since hardware betterments are made an on ongoing basis...just not very cost effective unless money isn't an issue for you and you don't mind throwing any amount of money out for the latest rig set up.

I find myself gaming less these days due to real life matters and all the overwhelmingly fast processing power and 4GB or DDR2 memory sitting in my gaming rig doesn't make a critical difference when I'm number crunching in MS Excel lately compared to my old rig which is 8 yrs old. The 8 yr old system does it just as fine, just a bit slower.
