    Your second link doesn't work.

As for the topic, I'd love to see another movie, althougbh what I'd really like is for the series to return altogether. The entire plot is just so awesome. Can't wait to see how this turns out!

    Eternally mine,

I *still* can't believe that they discontinued Firefly so quickly. I mean, it's just unbelievable that anyone could be that stupid. But this is Fox we're talking about, so... oh well.

Anyway, yeah, if they made another movie, I'd definitely go see it, rent it, buy it, or in some way get my grimy paws on it. The Hoping Lamp is lit.

Awesome movie. Would love to see the coming second movie as well. The major space battle scene in the first movie was well played out, especially liked that.

        Mind if I ask something?

Is it possible to enjoy Serenity without watching Firefly?

I ask, because it was on the other day, and I see so many of the internet community praising it for having such a good story. So, I start watching, and I get about 30 min in... and I'm completely lost. Space bounty hunters, alright, fair enough, not entirely new subject, but it's a good one. Then I see some kind of zombie cannibals, they escape, then they're in a bar, and the silent girl sees some singing octapus and flips out. It just seemed all over the place without explaining much, and I get the sneaking suspicion that I need to watch the series in order to enjoy the movie 100%, which is kind of a shame.

Hmm sounds almost as if you missed the beginning of the movie... if you listen to the dialogue they actually do a pretty good job of explaining things at least enough for the viewer to understand that 'the silent girl' had her head messed with by 'the government' which these scoundrel's in space are running from... the REAVERS you speak of (Cannibals) are actually a major part of the story - I don't want to ruin it but the point is, yeah they set things up pretty well... well enough for you to jump in with little prior knowledge.

HOWEVER, having seen the only season [about 14 or 15 episodes in total] does of course give you a fair bit of background.  Not only that, but it's also damn good watchin!

So in conclusion, yeah the movie works well enough on it's own but you do have to watch it all the way through to have some things answered BUT you should totally check out the series if you even think you might like it - I know I'm not the only one who thinks the show was even better than the feature.

    Cheers :)
