This thread says it all. Log in, play for 2 weeks and come post your opinions. Current player opinions are welcome. Free gameplay has always been worth the cost.

I might use it to check things out, I have not played since they put mortars in the game...Will check out mortars...
Last night we gathered at a FB... and something I don't recall seeing years ago, EVERYONE waited to line up and move forward at the FB. People used to just take off and bolt for the target getting killed piecemeal. But now there is excellent coordination. It was truly something to watch Somua, Chars, Renaults, in battleship formation heading for the town. In the rear was AT guns. Infantry out ahead to scout for the tanks and mark where they observe enemy tanks. Scout cars heading on the flanks.
Then as we approached the town and the tanks opened up (which was awesome to see and hear), the 2 or 3 defenders turned into 10 and then 20 defenders as they called in reinforcements. Stugs.. a coupla AT guns.. a JU87 flying overhead, infantry everywhere. But it all seem very coordinated, even on the enemy side.
Then when the battle actally started it was just very immersive. They have added so much to the game that I am really floored. The feeling of combat is actually there now. I never really felt I was part of anything before. Now it all felt like you were doing something.
And with the TOE, you don't have enemy after enemy spawning. That Stug knows that if he gets killed, that's it. No more Stugs. So both sides are a bit more careful than they used to be. Careful with your equipment... move slower, scout the horizon, use infantry to observe.
If I had to describe the changes and how they affect the game, I would say that it has really come a long way to simulate the combined arms tactics of true WW2 combat.
As CRS alters the gameplay rules with the new TOE the more the game will deeper. I still want Brigade movment tied not to the 1 hour delay but for the conditions encountered when moving from one town to another. Raods, terrain, enemy presences, size of Bde. Each game change requries a lot of thought and is always incremental. Ciney was a chore last night. I managed to get a Mobile Spawn Point to withing 500 meters of the axis Army Base and setup a mortar team. Not 5 mins went by till the whole area was crawlinhg with EI looking to suppress. This went on all night long, fights have become so immersive I dont like logging before a battle is finished.
Yea! That was Ciney we were assaulting last night. My first experience of an all out coordinated attack since all the latest patches and rules. I had to log before the battle was over but I certainly didn't want to..
ahh geez I wish they had a "welcome back soldier" promo going again.....I loved playing WW2online, but my wallet only allows for one or two scripts a month. I can't do the new player thing b/c when I enter my cc info, it says it has already been used and I have but 1 cc.
This for old accounts, or new accounts???
Freebie is for ne w accounts. Just use a differenct Credit Card if you are an old soldier. I dont think it looks at the email addy to check.
Whats with the credit card for a free trial? Why do I need 2 credit cards to be able to come by and check how the game is doing after a break? Is this company even allowed to hold onto my credit card information when im currently not subscribed? Why? Why? Why? nevermind i dont care why.
Wow! What a surprise! Every single MMO does that, except free to play ones.
Last time i checked all free to play ones were worthless POS games full of ads and asian farmers.
I soo want to try this out again. Bad thing is I only have 1 CC and I can't get the newbie 2 week pass. Some one plz tell them to run the "welcome back soldier" promo again!!
Freebies require a Credit Card info..one to make sure that someone would not continue to make a freebie account every two weeks, and two because if it standard industry wide. Beatbox avowed plan is to casue someone not to try ww2ol. If you want to be his minon, don't try the freebie, post here that he has influenced your opinion. Try the game for yourself, no loss on the freebie but time and return and post your opinion.

a month .....its still worth it cuzz of good players ( not CRS )to pay that much and u get your $ worth just in fun ...well most do..and u play longer then 2 weeks u will know by then if you still want to play it . Try it for a month if your a old player .
