A little help

OK I know there is many posts on this forum of people asking what games they should play. But all are mostly asking about certain aspects i.e crafting, housing, mini games stuff like that. I am not looking for anything specific. I just want to know if anyone has any suggestions about a game that is more then a grindfest. In my mind Runescape was by far the best idea for a game. I mean seriouslyy the extra's they had in it were amazing i.e woodcutting,cooking, mining, smithing. Ashen Empires was also very well thought out as well. The problem with these games though are they are slow, choppy graphics, just plain boring atmosphere with great ideas. If anyone knows of a game that is just not a grindfest with more then just 1 or 2 extras to it can you please point me in the right direction. I have searched many sites for an answer to no avail.

I don't mind paying a monthly fee for a game as long as its good. Paying for entertainment, nothing wrong with that as long as I can try it first for free. (MUST HAVE PVP THOUGH )
