Nerfing? HA! Try this.

This in my opinion is ridiculous. I think spys should get shit kicked by the nerf bat in lieu of this video.

why do you think you see sooo many spies running around?   Personally I went the other soldier line and did Grenadier, I love the idea of the props.  Just wish they'd up the dmg output on them because currently using a shotty with FA5 will out-dps the props with prop5 and costs significantly less to boot.

LOL! i knew TR was a grind fest, but even the video shows it!!

Well, if the spy in the video is fighting monsters of a similar level...then yes, the class is overpowered.  If these mobs are way below its level...than maybe not........

But since TR is a PVE game (for the most part) there's really no incentive to nerf or balance is there? Except of course the Dev's probably won't want a game of all spys.

He is abusing the "rage" bug...100% more dmg, this will be changed with new patch. In addition you see how boring some people feel if gameplay is like that.

That video was benefitting from the Rage bug.

However, Spies are not OP. We're perfectly balanced in pvp and pve. We can only do things up close and personal and that's it. There are so many pve mobs level 30+ that switch to a net gun real quick, net us to the ground and that's it, we're done for. Same thing with pvp, any Sniper could pulverize us with a Net Gun. Demolitionist can trap us with the Trap ability and we're done for. Engineer could pull out Reality Ripper pull us into a vortex and pull out bots to destroy us. There are several skills like this that almost all classes get which totally destroys the Spy in pvp and pve.

Don't forget, you spies get the Net Gun too, so just Net Gun someone in PvP and melee away; if you’re netted, polymorph and heal or break the net. For PvE I think spies get an ability called

"Apocalypse of Uberness", just use that and the entire zone dies (1 second cooldown).

Yea, I've heard about that too. Anyone care to elaborate?

I saw it yesterday. I spent 10 minutes trying to kill a stalker in Plateau. I was trying everything to even EMP bombs. I would do damage to the stalker's armor but the regen rate was too fast. Stalker was at full heath when a Spy comes running by and does a one shot on the stalker. WTF. I run over to see if I can get loot since I think I spent too much time fighting it. I find out he was one level lower than me =(

    And no loot for me

Auctally engineers do not get Reality Ripper that would be a demolitionist skill. Only trap we get is the trap turret and it has to be destoryed to do its massive damage. Unless the latest patch auctally makes my bots attack more I do not see a spy haveing to worry about them. I ahve had the flamebot out hopeing it would help with a large group that jumped me and it just floated there doing its hover thing. If I want to make a spy laugh I could drop some crab mines and they might laugh themselves to death as they bounce there doing nothing. My bad they would bounce off 100 meters away to agro a large group of bane :P

When all else fails I wormhole the heck out of there lol. As far as spies being overpowered I do not know and do not care. I rather use the games version of a flamethrower. whoooooooooshhh burn baby burn
