The only MMORPG that I've played to date is WoW, which I played from it's release date until the expansion came out. Overall an enjoyable experience that kept me entertained for a few years. However, I am looking for something new to sink my teeth into. I'm not really a huge fan of raiding when that's all there is to do because I like to be able to play without having to have several hours to commit in one stretch. Indeed, I didn't play a toon much once it reached level 60. I am really looking for a game that has goals other than 1) reach level cap 2) treasure hunt for items. I enjoy PvPing and quests (hence why I enjoyed leveling in WoW).
To give you an idea of games I've played and enjoyed: Baldur's Gate series, Arcanum, Oblivion, Diablo 2, Neverwinter Nights, and WoW. Incidentally, the best multiplayer experience that I have had with a game was Neverwinter Nights on a persistent world.
Games I am anticipating: AoC, WAR, and Darkfall. Darkfall looks to be the most exciting of these, but it also looks quite far from release and maybe too ambitious. Will it deliver? WAR looks like WoW, but maybe with a different gameplay focus.
Also, I am looking to put together or join a group of players interested in these upcoming games. I am not a hardcore gamer; I have a full time job and other hobbies that I enjoy. That means that my time is restricted to a few times during the week for a few hours and on the weekends. However, I would like to have a group of people to play with, as that is what can ultimately make or break the MMORPG experience.

Lets see, since you enjoy the quests of WoW, Lord of the Rings Online might be right up your alley. It is extremely casual friendly, and group and quest oriented. I never could grind a level in that game, I also never had to. It has PVP in the form of Monster Play, but it's not really the main draw of the game. The story is amazing and if you're a LOTR fan you'll most likely love it. Only other game might be Tabula Rasa, but I'm not sure a whole lot about this one, I'm researching it now as I'm also looking for a new MMORPG to spend a few hours on a day.
