EVE Online: Trinity Trailer

The EVE Online official site has been updated with a trailer for the upcoming Trinity content expansion and graphics upgrade.

A metamorphosis of truly epic proportions hovers over all of the EVE-verse. A change so dramatic, so overwhelming, that we can’t help but salivate with the knowledge of it. Our galaxy is changing in incredible ways. The new Trinity trailer is available on our download page. Words can hardly do it justice.

    Well it appears that EVE just said it's going to be around for another several years.  I mean those graphics are better than most graphics on current MMOs, and much better than the graphics on MMOs that are 3+ years old. 

    I'll definitely be starting up my old account when Trinity goes live just to witness the new graphics for a month.

       Watched it and  must say the graphics are excellent,however played this game off and on since beta and believe the real fun will be when they alow us to board are stations and ships.will of course up date my download and wait for a year or so for the fun stuff.lol

     Im very patient

    I know exacly what you mean, even thou i am a big fan of eve idea, and the game itself ofc, the only thing i realy  allways missed in eve was real avatars you could walk inside stations and ships. Well it seams we have to wait another year for that but atleast its 100% sure to come ^^

    Ive just come from the test server where the new version is up and running, nothing short of jaw dropping. he best MMO ive ever played just went and got me to fall in love with it all over again. Still seems to a be some bugs, but isnt there always. but i suspect that will be sorted out soon. I was most impressed to see that the old graphics will still run the game as well so it wont stop people playing eve on laptops etc. Oh not forgetting the new ships, toy, mission content... etc etc..

     

    Finaly its 2 finger to any mmorpg that makes you pay for your expansion consider how hugh this one is and that its free!!! as long as you pay the standard game fee :D

    Ive been playing 4+ years now, and this might just be whats need to keep me going another 4 hehe.

    I just started 2 months ago, and to all of those who don't find the beginning very fun, find a PvP corp and beg a player to give you 20mil for skillbooks and a ship. Then, start salvaging, and go on from there.

     

    These graphics cement that I made the right decision in which MMO to play after LOTRO. Hopefully AOC of WAR can live up to EvE (even though they are much different).

    EPIC trailer/graphics, not just for eve, not just for MMO industry, but for all videogame industry

    It seems there is people that think the video is some sort of cinematic, but no, it is done with in-game engine/client (I suppose a really very powerful computer and a very professional video-jokey on the keyboard)

    Hello, i have been playing eve a long time and love it and cant wait for the trinity release, the virsion on test server SISI is only direct X 8, if you like those grafics you will love it when dx 9 and maby 10 come out on live server.. somebody wanted pictures? here is a link to a thread in the EVE Online forum:

    Wrong. Sisi (test server) is already DX9 as dev stated. First screenshost in that thread you point are so badly done it make my eyes bleed. Check screenshots at the end of the thread or others, like those pics:

    Reason for first screenshots being so bad is basically, lack of AA, low resolution and conflicts between HDR and AA. Trailer quality can be achieved thou high end graphic cards are needed. And to do good screenshots some photograph ability is also needed :p

    garanteed it is as good as it looks next year ambulation for those wanting real avatars but you might waswell play to ave a look at these graphics amarr suck but there ship are georgus =======D although i am gallente so glad to see the gaint potatoe is now a ship
