is it just me or did the new patch change nothing what so ever ...the patch notes are almost identical to the first patch which also basicly did nothing...i am a hardcore fan of TR but im starting to worry a little bit what do you guys think? are they going to pull threw or end up loosing fan support

Well I don't feel its a complete bust. I knew there were certain things that were excluded from this patch that were expected to be released. As much as I would like more more more.... I would rather have it served up right than wrong.
I'd consider it a bust if it did something comparable to the PreCU or NGE I keep hearing about. Its not a mountain mover of a patch, but as far as I can tell it didn't hurt us either. So far I haven't seen anything to raise any flags over.
Don't worry. This game will have a nice little cozy spot just under the big boys on the block. This game will never equal LOTRO, EQ2, or the many other top mmo's in subs or popularity. As long as they make an effort to patch on somewhat of a regular schedule I am happy.
I guess i might be expecting to much to soon...i was just looking forward to the surplus and to see how the rage issue turned out and i wanted my free respec i wont consider it a bust until the huge jan-feb patch an if they delay it or change it i might be upset....with the personal mechs and the hybrids and alllll the stuff they are talking about... i understand its a new mmo an all but they just got eveyrones hopes up so high might not be good for the game if they dont deliver
As far as the nge goes.....this is not even near the same idea or concept or situation or ANYTHING! not to flame you or anything just saying.....the nge was DEATH from above this is just new games patching
I too am looking forward to the mechs, and respec as well, but like I said before I would rather them implement it when its ready, rather than push it out the doors not ready for the masses.
It's just a patch that fixed some bugs and added confusion, that's all. They didnt do a good job with the info regarding the patch (imo), but they could have done worse. It also highlighted some weaknesses in the website structures where info is given.
1) There were alot of things that were stated in the patchnotes that werent implemented (more dmg on launchers and chainguns).
2) There were changes implemented that weren't in the patchnotes (tooltips nerfed on rage)
3) The patch was launched on 27th of November, but had to be rolled back. They made an article on the website saying it would be delayed by 1 day, but it was actually delayed by 2 days and launched on the 29th.
3) There is different info on the http://eu.rgtr.com and the www.rgtr.com and the eu site isnt updated as frequently and with as much info as the US one.
4) There is so many sub-categories under the news section, and if you click "latest news" you will still not get all the info. You need to check every category, on BOTH sites
I'm worried that this is indicative of a future filled with bad CR and support not due to ill will from NCsoft but because of a bad and chaotic structure.
Fixing the lag in Mires was a big one for me.
This one was funny as known issue:
- Ranger Reinforcements are not doing melee damage.
Have they actually done any damage at all, even range. I was thinking more like, they just give blow kisses to enemy and eat lolipops. They are most useless thing what I have ever seen. Best used as decoy.

give it some time man.. its hard making a game work 100% let em take their time so we get something that works 100%... dont start whining over something u cudnt even do better.. they are doing their best, whining doesnt help em.
These first two patches have been more bugfix patches than new content patches, which is fine. I don't expect loads of new content this soon after release, and I'm glad to see them actively working on issues that people actually want fixed.
I'm a little bummed Military Surplus didn't make it into this patch, but they say it'll be in soon. And I hope they put the Rage fixes in soon too, mostly because I want the free respec!
MMO history:
EQ1 - 65 DE Wizard
DAoC - 50 Dwarf Thane, 50 Dwarf Healer
EvE - Amarr, Caldari BShip Pilot

WoW - 60 Undead Priest, 60 Tauren Warrior
LoTRO - 30 Hobbit Burglar
Currently Playing - Tabula Rasa
ok well first off i wasnt whining i was just wondering if anybody felt the same...i wasnt saying they are doing a terrible job and your right i couldnt do better but neither could you or any body else on here...i was just commenting on the support so far an how the 2 patchs have said they have done alot but..they havent...it got delayed because it was broke and i understand it is a new game an every single mmo goes threw this but it just seemed like they were a lil rusty...im sure they will clean up their act im still having fun playing the game
You're right: I couldn't do it better, that is why I give them my money. Giving them my money entitles me to whine if they fail to perform. And I am definitely allowed to whine if they released the game before it was ready.

Before it was ready? The game is perfectly playable and fun FYI.
Nah, not a complete bust. The two biggest changes which were the "auction houses" and the rage-fix were excluded from the patch. That's got everyone a little unhappy with this patch but doesn't make the patch a bust. They are fixing tons of bugs and mission problems. I think the greatest concentration of bugs/mission problems are for the 30+ characters.... so... unless you have a lvl 30-50 toon.. you might not notice the changes as much.
Too little to late. Puts another way released too soon.
Gorilla you have no idea what ur talking about so please just don't comment at all.
TR was perfectly fine already in late Beta. The first two patches have been minor bug fixes. With the second patch they introduced a small annoying glitch and they fixed it so fast afterwards I could not even tell you if it was 48 hours or less.
Auctionhouse is great ( here is my writeup ) and will make it in shortly, honestly its a super nice addition but does not in any way change the fact that game is perfectly fins as it is. TR offers *huge* bank space and bag space in comparison to any other mmo, plenty of storage.
Don;t expect any *BIG* ( as in additional planets big ) content patches untill January/February and realistically I would say Feb/March.
TR was in far better shape even before release then most mmos are a year afterwards, it is allready getting auction house within the first month of release. "Mounts" are already being worked on and will be in soon as well. Huge content patches are currently being worked on for Feb relase and the work on xmas '08 expansion is well under way.
This game is in great hands, and its in a great shape, everyone who did not do so already should try this one.

I played several toons until the content ran out, (do medics have any sort of role now btw?)
Lets just say we obviously have different standards of what is acceptable let alone 'perfectly fine'. This was in a similar state to Vanguard on release. If you are not so discerning I am sure its absolutely fine and dandy. Personally I think we should send publishers a clear message ....pay to beta is un acceptable. Again your mileage might vary.
I'm glad you are enjoying it, sincerely I am. I thought wow at start but after a month (actually much less) the game play became pretty lacking (to my tastes). The action bit is not bad at all but the RPG side is seriously lacking (its an Action RPG right?) . Bank space cool! some where to put all the junk (junk being literally correct). My biggest concern was there was so little diversity down the different branches of the skill trees. I would go as far as saying laughable.
To call it "perfectly fine" is clearly delusional or just sloppy unreasoned thinking or both. I mean if its perfectly fine you wont want them tinkering with the mechanics will you? It indicates to me where you are coming from (a place that seems to be a completely different reality from mine). That's cool have fun in TR (or is it actually LaLa land). I may very well join you in a year or 18 months.
Anyway I'm glad you think its spot on as it is. As you would rather I shut up rather than put forward a contrary point of view I'll do just that. You know I might just try Vanguard now the Jolly Green Meglomaniac has had the rains snatched from him. All hail Lord McQuaid (not).

Are you really being serious when u say "the same shape as vanguard" LOL come on man be real..not even close at all vanguard was broken at release at least this game is playable and fun to say the least!
QFT and why they aren't getting my money for at least 6 months
