Stargate is the only TV thing I am listening ATM beside news...
However, I will admit that for some reasons, I am way more tolerant and less critic in english, hell, I even listen to Buffy from time to time...no way in native language I would bear that, no way at all!

Back to the topic:
I like the new series, it was a fresh change. I didn't really watch Stargate SG-1 very much (the movie was great though). Unlike SG-1 I will prolly be watching Atlantis every week.

I love SG because it has a very beleiveable storyline using our own mythology as the basis.
That and they are considered "inferior" yet they saved a race that were hundreds if not thousands of years ahead of them technology wise(the Azgard, your run of the mill grey, big black eye aliens, who in mythology time took on the appearance as norseman gods). Somehow they seem to always kick the crap out of the bad guys that are way far ahead technology wise.
I liked when they did the "Stargate to Atlantis" show. 2 of my favorite parts is when they were acting like they were having auditions and the guy takes off for the stargate and gets tackeled lol. And the other where the azgard is having a conversation with that guy.
Shhh - we must remain perfectly silent as we observe this unusual species...

Maybe Im not into SG enough, but as I see it, it doesnt have a structure that will easily translate to MMORPG. Like it has already been said - the aliens are spose to be rare and everyone would aspire to be them. And the humans just aspire to learn more about the aliens, stop random invasions & visit as many planets as possible in a 60 minute per week slot 
Now I can see 'random invasions' making for good player events (an obvious structure for guilds & PvP on a regular / timetabled basis) but what would the lvling / profession structure consist of? I jus dont understand what interesting aspirations each side would have. I guess someone could craft ships & weapons for the aliens. And humans can be divided into commander, assault, scientiest - something vaguely like that. Help me understand how it would mash together 
If you have any ideas I'd be much interested - I watched the first couple of SG-1 series but I lost my SKY TV and didnt make an effort to see them since.

The pilot for the new season was cool and laid down a good storyline.
The new foe were life sucking aliens, a little too Malkavian for me.
But i'm a fan, so I'll have to learn to hate them.
