Yeah, I'm hoping it will stay that way, but what can you do! Kunarick and Bobjones will obviously be playing EQ2, so I wouldn't play it ever, even if it was actually a good game, which it isn't.

I'm not sure if I will be "Moving" to EQ2, but I sure will be playing it.

If it really lives up to all the hype, then yes I probably will be "Moving" to it. I'm not going to make up my mind until I get a chance to give the game a thorough test drive.

Then I will make my decision.

I don't know if you can say that i will "change". I stopped playing EQ some time ago. Buti will definately start playing EQ2. As opposed to to a lot of players i see posting here, i am not what you would term a hardcore player. So i'll see whether EQ2 can provide enough fun for me, even if i can never hope to reach the maxlevels.....

I'm not moving to everquest 2 because:

1.there will be only 2 cities Freeport:evil qeynos:good, sure there will be neighborhoods for different races but thats not the same as different cities.

2. the moon will have exploded which means no baazar!

3. Only one contenient

4.I'm content with what I have: Everquest

I wish they made it in the form of an expansion youn could make a character in everquest or everquest 2 and not pay a seperate monthly fee

Sorry, the system requirements killed it for me. My PC is a year old and has been upgraded with more memory and a better video card. I meet the minimum for EQ2, but not the recommended. EQ runs GREAT on my PC with all settings maxed.

WOW has lower system requirements, so for a lot of people it will just plain run better. This will steal players from EQ2. I have a lot of friends with PCs 2 years odl that do not meet the min for EQ2.

I played Guild Wars during the free week and it also ran great. I plan to try that one out as well.

EQ was the best thing since sliced bread when I started playing in 2000 (and I remember playing Pong when it came out, heh heh). EQ is just a great concept for a game, period (despite the bugs, nerfs, jerks, etc). Some of you may not have a memory of living with games like Pong, and just that to choose from. There are many MMORPGs out there, EQ has been the only experience for me. I will try others (WoW, Horizons) I think I will give EQ2 a shot when/if it comes out. But I am not sure I will have the same initial "OMFG!!" feeling I did with EQ back then...but we'll see. Lot's of change might be real good for the soul

Changing to EQ2? Only new players, and maybe EQ players with 1 year or less time playing. EQ players with years of time invested into EQ can't leave EQ. If they are rich enough, they may even play BOTH games.

Trying EQ2?
Everyone, and their mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, grandkids, and their friends!

(aka everyone with a computer that has GeForce 4 +, 750mhz+, 1.1 GIG mem+) or can meet whatever the min specs for EQ2 will be. It IS the most anticipated MMORPG. Yep, even more than WoW. EQ2 at worse will still succeed.... it will definatly get 50,000 to 100,000 accounts. At best, it will be yet another runaway success for SONY, getting 100,000 to 200,000 accounts. (I seriously doubt EQ2 will make it to 400,000 accounts LOL!)
