SOE Keeps deleting our Posts

Again today SOE has deleted my post about the combat revamp fiasco. This is outrageous. I pay my money and should be allowed to express me feelings on their forum. This is tatamount to censorship of the worst kind.

Try doing this:
1. Posting without doing any name calling, cussing, spamming, etc...
2. Post in numerical order what you think the problem/problems are AND THEN also posting in numerical order what you think the solution/solutions are.
That way you will be making a move to engage in constructive criticism.

Believe me I did those things. I simply suggested that SOE was not truthfull to us and made a bullet list of examples with included links tp prove my points. I didnt swear, call SOE any nasty names. I just told the truth and got banned for it. So did several others for the same reason.
SOE has tried other was to censor us as well. 6 months back the forums were so full of nasty complaint filled posts the devs made the forums off limit to the public for a while. They didnt want any potential new customers coming to the forums and finding out how badly bugged the game was.
i actually love swg but this censorship is ridiculus! i suggest this issue be brought up to influencial game sites like IGN, gamespot, G4, and of course mmorpg.com.

I will be cancelling, not that SOE cares if I do. Ive cancelled twice before (this will make 3) and the only time I ever heard from SOE was back in January when they sent me an e-mail telling me about the new way to get a jedi and the combat revamp. LOL, 6 months have gone by and we still dont have jedi (pub 10) and the combat revamp is on hold.
Im staying on for 1-2 weeks right before my next billing cycle. I cant post anything on their boards anymore. So Ill be spamming in protest trying to inform others whats going on. Hopefully, Ill get a few to join me. Already since the announcement yesterday Ive gotten 7 emails from friends telling me they've had enough.
Bah, SOE just deleted by my last posting. It wasnt even critical of SOE. The post was titled "frustrated, please read" In the content box all I said was please visit this link to vent your feelings (link to here)
SOE cant even allow that eh ??? God do I hate them. Its bad enough that they try and stop free speech, but to not allow a simple link to stay up from a paying customer.
Whats next, Ill get outright banned from playing if I go on and spam the truth also ????

I have posted many posts at their official forums and I have never gotten one deleted. Three that I can think of is the Space expansion...I had some issues there. None of them got deleted.
Now, Ive seen posts locked or deleted when people acted stupid.
If I were you, Admriker I would just quit the game and never come back. I still like the game but seeing someone cancelling and then reactivating only to hate it again and then repeating the process over and over and over probably best defines the word Insanity.
Just cancel man. I know if I hated the game as much as you I wouldnt be playing it.

Yea, I have long since dropped the game because I got tired of paying to play their alpha (wasn't even complete enough to be called beta). I was banned from the web site from day one. Never even logged onto the forums. a month or teo after playing I tried to log on to read about something and kept getting a message that I had been band. I'm like, hw can I be banned from the forums I have never been on them before.
I tried tech support, not only were they useless, but they lied to me about the problem (they claimed I was timing out which I know wasn't true and could tell it was just an excuse because they didn't know what was going on). SWG is a train wreck.
If this game is as good as some people and SOE make out, they wouldn't be concerned about any negative criticism.
Guess the deletion of posts speaks volumes about the state of this game.

They own the boards, they have a right to delete anything they don't like.
That's just the way it is. They've been taking a beating<well deserved in my eyes> the last couple of days anyway.
But yes, quit, vote with your pocketbook, it's the only thing that matters. Enough people feel that way, and maybe they'll actually start making real changes.
SOE has turned into one of the biggest money whores in the industry. I mean, they have a right and need to make a profit, but they've really gone off the deep end.

I'll tell you what, can you re-post all your examples, bullit list, and links, into this thread here? I will re-post it (I'm one of the original SWG forum veteran posters from back when the old official SWG forums went up over 4+ years ago.) I will also re-post it on influencial SWG sites.
In the past I have "butted heads" with the SWG game DEVs, I even got a few personal e-mails from them. So I know what it is like. But there is a chance to get one's message through - which I succeeded doing by getting hundreds of players to sign the petiions I made in the past at the Official SWG site.

Hey, I got banned by those ******, too! I was pushing for a role-playing server for months and months, and finally began posting some stuff about it in the forums. They deleted it, I got pissed...

I found the post in my history folder, here it goes....
Dear Devs, we are tired of being lied too (title)
From day 1, you have not been honest with your player base. Some examples are...
1.) You promised you'd be well prepared for laucnh day as you had previous experience launching mmorpg. We all know what a disaster launch day was.
2.) Force slot - We were told that it was possible to open our force slot from day 1. 6 months go by, a few stealth patches with jedi terms attached to the file names (yes someone peeked) and tadaa we have a ton of players open over a weekend. The first player didnt even open hers by mastering a profession, she did master something the night before though. Next morning after server reboot she was killing Pickets when she got the message. This is so obvious that jedi wasnt in the game for the first 6 months.
3.) How to Obtain FS - We were misled here into thinking it was some series of epic quests. Many were convinced the rare Hermit spawn was behind it and spent months walking around the desert of Tatooine looking for him. Others like myself were convinced the Sith temple might hold the key. We all wasted so many game hours chasing the few tidbits of info and hints you'd post now and then.
4.) Luke Skywalker - We were told by Kevin Q3PO that Luke was in the game but nobody had found him yet. My guild and I were convinced that he surely was related to the mystery of opening our force slots up. Made sense, nobody had opened and nobody had found Luke. We spent months searching Yavin, Tatooine and other remote spots. We had 2 guildmates who literally sat at Kenobi's hut on 24 hour watch to see if Luke would spawn. Other times the guild would gather up and literally comb the planet spreading apart and walking from one end to the other and repeating. I myself spent many weeks inside Sith temple trying to drag broken lightsabers, crystals, holocrons,etc onto cracks or symbols on walls in a vain attempt to cause something to happen. Then on day a rebel theme park fix came down and suddenly Luke is a static NPC inside the sith temple. He was never in the game. SOE made my guild so upset that half the members quit that very day.
5.) Combat revamp - Since November you've been promising this. What makes the delays even worse is you partly started it by nerfing Creature Handlers, thus making them worthless. You told us that some professions may "appear" to be weak bu once the revamp was complete all would be equal. Since that delay has been ongoing, CH is still useless as are many others.
6.) JTL - We were told by devs that JTL had its own separate dev team. Now we find out that wasnt true. In fact, 50% of SWG dev team has been working on JTL. Plus, we are now told that all 100% of devs will be needed to complete JTL. So we sit back and play a broken game AND pay for SOE to make another.
Im so disgusted by this action that I simply can not allow myself to purchase JTL or continue to play SWG. This is my official cancellation notice.

When Everquest 2 and Guild Wars comes out SWG will loose shitloads of subscribers
What else do you expect from a huge, soulless corporation like SONY? I personally am turned off by the huge corporation's games- you know that very little real "humanity" can be expected to trickle down through all the levels of middle management and zillions of lawyers who doubtless make up 95 percent of the "team". There are alot of quality games coming from relatively small companies with real heart, with real inspired devs and with personal concern for the game and players, not just another corporate buck to squeeze- too bad the wonderful Star Wars story is owned by one of these.

Sorry to say City of Heroes are known for there form delete SYS.
Forms are Censorered all the time. I even found my freebee month
I had with them proved to be a fatal blow in my Opt to play. Posting
I found were rewritten or just deleted the following day.
NO cursing, just pointing out places where there needed inprovment.
The last place to explore. We have been born to late or to early for the explorer.
Space Exploration for the non perfect human will be some years from now (if ever)
And the past welll you know, past....The Censorship of MMORPG's (other then the cursing ect..)
takes away the last best places to explore with freedom.
If I had a dollar for every time I saw someone saying SWG will die when EQ2 comes out... Just in the official forums alone...
You do realize who's developing EQ2, right? SOE.
What makes you think EQ2 will be any different?
In fact, if SWG folded tomorrow (unlikely), what do you think would happen to all the programmers/developers? They'd be standing in the unemployment line? Wrong, they'd get redeployed over to EQ2.
I'm not saying I have any answers (far from it, actually) ..... but saying people are gonna leave SWG for EQ2 is sort of like saying you hate Bush, so you're gonna vote for Nader.

had a flash back to the first three months of the game when the deveolpers implemented a revoactions scematic for docs there was a huge outcry on the fourms and it went from the doc, meds, boards ,to the main fourms
next day there was a patch and a note in the patch notes was
oppps we hadn't considered the repercautions long term as we should
it was one time, early game, they backed down
it is now afternoon and another 28 pages of outcry do you think there is any chance we will see a statment of some sort?
if so what could they possibly do to stop the outcry ?
i had another flash back to the housing and inventory thingy that suddenly appeared on patch notes ( no garrentees that after 3 months it would be there there was another outcry then and then there was clarification
i see a possible first threat of "data base clear up "
or do you see free trial being extended ?
and or mass invites going out to cancled accounts????

It would be so funny if SOE is dumb enough to send me another e-mail inviting me back. I'll respond and cut & paste their e-mail from January that promised me a jedi revamp so I wouldnt have to hologrind (still not in-game) AND combat revamp.
JTL wont come out until late October according to Thunderheart. That is code for December with massive bugs. Then in a rush to hotfix them, the next publish or two will also be devoted to JTL fixes taking us into January / February. Then MAYBE they'll start the combat revamp which TH has stated is very complex (i would say so, since they are basically redesigning 90% of the game) and will take 3 months... again code word meaning 5 months. So we might not see a fully fixed, actual working game until July 2005. Hmm, thats exactly 2 years from release. Perhaps if SOE gives me a refund for the year I've already played AND lets me play for another year for FREE I'd consider coming back. Wait a minute.... this is SOE we're talking about, NO WAY IN HELL SOE.
