How involved in this game is SOE?

Not looking for flames of any type, so please don't do so.
I'm curious as to how much involvement SOE has in this game. I'm one of those SWG people that felt demoralized and very much slighted by SOE, so I'm very weary of any SOE connection to a game (in fact, haven't played or bought any SOE title since the day of the NGE).
Are the people playing this game going to have to use station? Is SOE involved in design/development/implementation decisions?

Amazing what an honest question garners you. I didn't flame SOE in anyway at all, or proclaim myself a SOE hater. I simply stated I was weary of a SOE connection.

Perhaps it had something to do with the 30+ page thread specifically about SOE that you didn't even bother looking into that had about 30 posts from FLS Devs explaining exactly what the 'involvement' level of SOE (they handle billing, marketting and boxing and that's it) was.
IMO he was pretty darn nice about it.

Im an SWG veteran as well (pre-CU Jedi) and i used to hate SOE because of what they did to the game. I had decided not to play any SOE title anymore. Well im playing EQ2 atm and i have to admit that SOE is doing a good job with this game. Lot of changes and expansions since the release and the game is getting always better. I still dont really trust SOE but i dont avoid them anymore. I think POTBS worth a try.
If you'll look, there is no SOE thread other than this one on the first page of this forum in regards to SOE. Sure I could have searched more thoroughly, but have you ever seen a thread with SOE in the title what hadn't already degraded into a flame fest? Plus reading 30+ pages for the answers that some other person was able to give me in a few short sentences would be moronic on my part.
The first response to my OP was handled very nicely with links that got me to the place I needed to be, after that, yours,mine and any other post is quite honestly a waste now isn't it?
Some people are like that, particularly those fanbois! Heck, thanks to them I'm all hyped for the game until the end of NDA yesterday which had changed my opinion about potBS.

I'm not a fanboi... in fact I'm not even sure I'm going to play the game.
But... that said... this is open beta now. If you're not a founders member of fileplanet just wait till next monday then try the game YOURSELF and form your own opinion. Those who make purchasing decisions about games without trying them *free* themselves first really don't impress me much.
Like I said, I am not completely sold on the game and I've been in beta since this summer but I am not making a snap decision either. I'm in the open beta even though I was in beta and something you can say about FLS:
They truely care about the game and they DO listen to the beta testers. I can't even begin to count the number of changes I recognize in the game that were directly from feedback that I and other Testers have given over the past months. It's a much better game today than it was even 1 or 2 months ago. Heck, there are many changes even since the stress test 3 weeks ago.

And my post wasn't a flame either.... in fact I didn't really see anything that could be construed as a flame. I did see a post by an FLS DEV that was obviously in jest... but hey you take it how you will bro.
