So there aren't any great free Mmorpgs, but which ones would come out on top out of all of them?  just as a overall rating,

    For free ones? They are all pretty much Korean suck fests.

    Shadowbane is a little fun if its still around. Graphics are crap, but it can be fun ganking people.

    Some of the new kung fuish ones are probably fun for a little bit (until you have to start buying stuff from item malls.)

    I don't remember what those ones are called though...9 moons, somethin moon, I don't know. There's a couple others.

    There are some very good free to play MMO's.

    • Perfect World
    • Anarchy Online
    • Guild Wars (although you need to buy a box)

    Other runner ups that make great "beer and pretzel" games

    • Dungeon Runners
    • Space Cowboy (at least it was)
    • Hellgate (again, you gotta buy the box...not worth a sub though)

    Buying an mmo= 35.99 +14.99 a month.

    Playing games for years= fun

    Playing SWG from your hotel room on a laptop, via business trip for 10c a minute (3day trip)= not priceless! 1900.oo later! Try explaining that to your wife.

    Yes i shot myself for letting SOE cost me that much $ hehe.

    The base game has been free for about 2 years now.

    If you want the expansions you gotta pony up a monthly sub

    Still the only game i've played where you can duel wield pistols lol.

    It depends on what you define as F2P. Some people thin F2P are those games which you dont have to pay for and no monthly subscription. I have not found anything worthwhile in that system that keep me hooked for very long. Others think that F2P means no monthly subscription. In that case I think Guild Wars is likely the best one out there.
