Attention General British - read this if you want to live

Hope I got the attention of TR devs ?

 

I love TR and think it is a step in right direction for our stale pond of MMO gaming, that honestly started to stink

 

But what is TR - it is still a blank slate , a fondation of something that can be good depending on how much Destination Games invests in it. I would seriously advice you to look towards great example of Turbine and LOTRO. You might not think much of the game , but these guys are actually enriching the game and constantly tweak it towards player community wishes. They also take no shame in using good solutions from other MMOs , after all , if it works, why fix it ?

 

Here i wish but to give you a short list of things you need to fix ASAP in order to buy yourself time for future fixes...and i will not talk about fixing the bugs or rebalancing, this clear.

 

1. Make official FORUM !

    - communication is a paragon of MMO gaming. There was few MMOs before that thought no official forum is a good idea. Wink, nudge* Vanguard...well we all know how this ended.Today is the age of myspace, facebook .. blogs. People love forums. People love DEV INPUT ! But dont stop there !

Display player achievements, armor, stats...etc. Like in EQ2. TR is perfect for this !

 

2. Make LFG interface.

   - In such action filled game like TR , it is hard to type. TR SCREAMS FOR LFG INTERFACE !!!!

 

3. Give us something passive to do , like crafting !

  - TR is so action filled there is no break. And people need break , a breather. Look at fishing in WOW, it is not there for nothing. EQ2 made smart move and made crafting a passive filler for action. TR could do the same. Separate skill points for crafting, and make it viable from lvl 1 ! Let us craft AMMO !!!

There must be something to do beside FIGHTING !!!

 

4. In MMORPG review Laura mentioned great idea. Talk quick keys. Something like "Wait" "Heal me" "Attack" "Would you like to group" etc ... TR is so fast , it is impossible to type. Sure you have voice chat , but we all know how unpopular it is in PUGs...and it anyway works only in groups

 

5. Get this auction house working ! I mean seriously , whoever thought MMO should be released withouth AH should be fired at this very moment. That is serious. If you still work in MMO game design industry, make everyone a favor and change proffesion.

 

6. Change the friggin collors !!!! LOL how much sepia can my screen display !

 

7. The same guy that thought MMO should be released withouth Auction house, probably thought this neat

LAST NAME trick. Please again , double resign your job , and give this game normal character naming.

    Buying an mmo= 35.99 +14.99 a month.

    Playing games for years= fun

    Playing SWG from your hotel room on a laptop, via business trip for 10c a minute (3day trip)= not priceless! 1900.oo later! Try explaining that to your wife.

    Yes i shot myself for letting SOE cost me that much $ hehe.

    I'm sorry, but some of what You want isn't at all what I want to see.

     

    Official forum at this thime would be suicide, because all what You really want to do is whine/feedback. You can give feedback directly to them, here.  You can craft ammos at the moment allready, I have done it. Yes, crafting needs a lot of improvments. I don't see any problem with last name system, I think it's actually damm good. Normal name is firstname and lastname.

    It is something intelligent people do. Perhaps you do not understand that

    > I will only assume here but, with the amount of clones one can make in the game. This system makes it easier for friends or guildmates that have you on there list to find you.
    Between character's.
    > If names could be totally different per character, it would one limit new players to names. Two be harder to track clones.
    With one constant name, it make it easy.

    If you are referring to the colors of the chat channels, etc. they can easily be changed to whatever you want them to be. It can get confusing and hard to keep track of if every channel is the same color.

    The last name thing was done to prevent people hiding from their actions by using alts with different names.

    So if someone is an abusive twat they cant then pretend to be someone else.

    However the naming thing needs to be fixed - like in guildwars so that if I add someone as a friend - I see them no matter which clone they are playing. If one clone is in a clan - they need to all be automatically added. At the moment you cant have seperate clones in different clans, but each one has to be added manually to show in the roster.

    Care factor 0. I think there are still more pressing issues that need to be addressed - like getting the bugs fixed and content upto scratch.


    Official forums - I think official tech support forums are a must. How much work could be saved for their support people if we could browse / research / resolve our own issues by reading solutions other people with same problem have used. I know not everyone would use them - but for me it would be a lot faster than the current 48 hours for a response, send files, another 48 hours for a response etc.
