So here we find the real reason behind your displeasure...aka crying and whining.  You made a string of decisions in your life that lead you to where you are today, because of those decisions you could not afford to buy a lifetime membership.  Take some self responsibility, it is not Turbines fault.  I am in the same boat as you, however I am not complaining because: A) It is not really important as this is just a game B)  I realise if I don't put extra effort in, I can't expect extra rewards out.  Also, you say money is tight for you, but you do not mention one word about they extra $5 a month you get to save.  Instead you choose to complain about a horse as a reward.

Umm....so let me get my head around this, you write a post complaining about free rewards from Turbine that you were not asking for in the first place, and most of us thought the point of view of sucks.  As paying members of the game we "have the right" to call your post whatever we want.......*trying to hold a straight face*.....this is a very serious issue.

If you take nothing else from this thread, take two words mentioned earlier...Self Responsibility.

You guys get our Founder's pricing for as long as you are subscribed, just like us, which is a damn good deal, and if I wasn't a founder I would be ecstatic about the pricing they are giving you guys.

I find it funny how many founders tell those of us who are dissatisfied with the situation to stop crying.  If the tables where turned you would be the first to gnash your teeth and pull your hair.

Oh and the bone they threw us, the discounted price, is just that, a bone.  They will most likely keep the price reduced in order to stay competitive.

    Not at all.

I have no problem with a company rewarding die hard customers who have been there at the beginning. It's not like players who knew of the game couldn't become founders now, is it?

In life you have choices. This to my mind is good. You could have either jumped on the bandwagon, become founders and taken your chances or not. For those who didn't, they didn't for good reasons. For those who did they took a chance, stuck with it and Turbine is saying thanks. I see no problem with this at all. Not everything has to be equal in life.

I find it amusing that people are always bitching and moaning when those who take chances, put in the hard work, seize opportunities only to come out ahead.

It's not like this is a game breaking gift either.

Sorry, but this just seems like whining because someone took the initiative and is being given a gift. I have no problem with this at all. Next game, you can become a founder if they offer it and take your chances at being rewarded 1 year later. Live and learn.

A scene in a stable near Staddle :

Wickermanva a  deaf mute hobbit is communicating with a gift horse called Turbine.

Unfortunately the horse has a lisp and confuses Wickermanva's lip reading skills to the point that he  completely misunderstands the message the horse is trying to convey.

Gandalf notices the scene unfold and sagely comments "young hobbit it may be prudent to not look that gift horse in the mouth",

Wickermanva shrugs and scratches his head whilst the horse sniggers in his stall.

What hard work.  You didn't do shit.  You sat behind a computer and played a game like everyone else.  Don't give me this shit about HARD WORK.  You are so full of bullshit you stink.  You did nothing more or less than the vast majority of game players.  Get off it. You are not special, you got lucky, considering that Turbine is so stupid in this promotion I doubt the game will last another year.  Have fun.

You have no idea of my life situation.  Not all of us get to stay at home in mommy's basement and play games all day.  Some of us have families that we have to take care of.  So until you get out of your parents basement, get a real job, and date a real girl, not just some cyber sex with some dude who is pretending to be a girl, than you can talk to me about real life.

That would be a nice scene but in truth it would go like this:

Wickermanva looks over at his empty stable and wonders why there is nothing there.  Oh well he thinks, at least I can buy one...

Then a GLOWING hobbit wearing a FOUNDERS cloak walks up, and poof a magical horse pops out of thin air... "How do you like my free horse... sucka"   as he laughs on his way.

That's more like it.  And now that Turbine has given into the Founders this time, whats next... I don't know, and neither do you.  But I can bet they will always be treated better than the rest of Turbine's customers.

And that is the point.  I have payed and kept my account active since I started.  But I will always be less valuable to Turbine than their founders.  And I get my nose rubbed in it to boot.

That is a lousy way to run a company.

If you consider these actions  to be of a poorly run company then your letter should be addressed to nearly every company out there.

Pot calling the kettle black.... and I'll go away if you do too.  But you wont so I guess I will not either.

And as I have said, its not about jealousy, its about being devauled by Turbine.

The above scene was in response to someone else's posted scene... so try to at least be on target when you attack me.

Turbine made a big mistake, they created a situation where they elevated one group of customers over the rest, and to expect the rest of us to just meekly sit by and go, oh well, here is my subscription money, we should feel honored just to be allowed in the same world as your real customers, is plain insane.

And talking about rage... you are the one who decided to personally attack me.  I was making a comment about a fictitious event, condemning a decision made by a game company.  You decided to make this personal by attacking me.  Sounds like you are the one with the anger problem, I hope you can get help for it.  Have a happy holiday.
