I am really sorry that I can't help with technical stuffs too well. Could you possably tell us your computer spec and Operating system.
Also does the problem happen every time you log in to EVE? Does it happen when you play other Online games? The more infomation you give the better the help can be.
Thanks for posting and sorry I couldn't help more. Could it be your Internet provider? I don't really know. If it knocked out your total internet connection it could be a lot of things. Uninstall EVE and Redownload it.. There was an issue with the EVE client when it was released a few days ago into Trinity.
Sounds odd, but just to cover all your bases, have you tried port forwarding port 26000 outbound and tcp?
Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts.

Assuming you are on a cable modem... have you tried connecting the computer directly to the cable modem and seeing if you have issues that way? If you are able to play without the router between you and the modem then the problem is a configuration within the router. If not then your problem is on your PC or with your internet provider.
Start there, then see how it goes. Good luck!

It's probably something on your WOW client reacting to your EVE client
) may be, didnt think about that. Damn, now i see why there are so many blizz subscribers
I manage to run both clients at the same time with no issues what so ever.
Plus having one client installed will not effect another game
I took the following from EvE's knowledge base if this does not work contact there support providing as much information as possible.
Connection losses caused by third party software
How can I verify that connection losses are not caused by third party applications?
Connection issues can be caused by third party LSPs (Layered Service Providers). LSPs hook into Winsock, and if they are not written properly, may cause connection problems. Software firewall applications, some instant messaging add-ons, spyware and adware are known to hook into Winsock using an LSP. The solution to such connectivity issues is to identify and update the application causing the problem.

To address LSP issues with spyware and adware install and run Microsoft Defender or AdAware.. If you are an experienced user you may want to attempt the manual removal of an LSP by installing the LSP Explorer add-on for AdAware. Another option is to use LSP-Fix.
If you are a very experienced user you may want to evaluate the following information. It is possible to reset Winsock on Windows XP SP2 by following the resolution steps given in Microsoft KB article 892350. For Windows XP, Windows XP SP1 and Windows 2000 you can use one of the resolutions given in Microsoft KB article 81751.
