Registering requires ID?

I'd like to try this game out, but I'm a bit concerned about this game requiring either a passport ID, or what appears to be a social security number. Are there other ID options, such as maybe a drivers license number? Or it safe to give them social info?  I'm just not sure about this.

    Ahem...not suggesting anything, just talking to myself....who's going to check the info you submit? If you're that concerned (and you should be - NEVER give your personal info out to a game) submit a random number for god's sake and write it down (you might need it later).
