This game is fun, stop finding faults

natevploegnatevploeg Member Posts: 35

This is to all the negative nancy's out there.

If you look for negative, guess what your going to find..negative things.  No game is perfect, and a lot of people are ruining this game for people before they even try it.

This game is decently innovative as far as mmo's go so give it a little slack.  They have had a great launch, made the game fantastically fun to fight in the game, the mission are easily just as fun as any other mmo's quests, and they added some great things to do (such as control points.)

Im not writing this to hate on people who don't like the game, i just want them to realize its new and just so they don't ruin it for others who are debating trying it.  I personally almost didn't try this game out because a few unofficial reviews from people who played the same games as i have in the past and thank GOD i didn't listen to them because i'm have a blast.  I realize that at its current state, i wouldnt be able to play it for 6 months, but think of wow for example.  At launch, without any patches, i wouldnt have been able to play that for 6 months either.  However, they patched it, made it better due to player requests, and now its known as ONE of the best mmorpg's ever made.  Im glad they made a trial and i am just trying to get people to try it before they read the few negative nancy's reviews about lvls 1-20 or whatever. (btw- i think the game gets better after those levels but thats just me)

Thanks for reading since its long and i probabaly ranted cause i just got back from the bar, but look me up on pegasus server, last name zetterberg, and lets kill some fricken bane together, cause its just straight up fun. night

While i think ppl wont stop saying bad things, i just have to say this is a FUN game, its viceral action, u go kill stuff because is fun not because you have to do it to get to something that may be fun, its fun from start, and if i compare the fun i've had in the last 2weeks to the fun i get in the average mmo in 2-3months it has worth my money just there.

Said that, i hope more ppl just check it out, cuz lets face it, mmos now dont hold us more then a few months, and who knows what we'll be playing in 6months, but now, this IS FUN AND ITS WORTH YOUR TIME, wich is far more of what u can say from other games.

I mean how many wolfs, giant bees, bears, or the like u have to kill to start getting fun. Heck the tutorial here was better then most mmos first 2-3 days of gameplay...

Anyway thats what i think hope more ppl will just go try it, cuz sure it has flaws, it has some bugs here and there, it lacks alot of things! alot and i hope it'll be added but been realisitc it wont in the near future, cuz there are no magic patches, It will have some repetitive stuff, it has some lausy craft system BUT still its FUN and i want to make that clear ITS FUN since the start, and thats ALOT comming from an mmo wich we're usualy used to do "meh" things for an hour to have 10 mins of "oh cool" stuff where here u get "oh cool" stuff for and hour and then 10 mins of "WTH! WOW"

People will complain.  But I agree that TR is fun.  Since I get to play only for short bits, I like the fact I can get on and start the gaming.  Sure as hell beats running for 40 minutes till you find a flight point then run another ten because the group you are trying to link up with doesn't have a summoner.

This post is contradictive. It says that first you shouldnt try to find faults then it goes on to say that the devs patched the game based on requests from the players.

Those requests are basically faults that the players have found so there is nothing wrong with finding faults with an MMORPG. It's a way to improve the game and since we pay a monthly fee we have more rights than other games to report faults and expect them to be fixed (if alot of people find the same faults).

I just got the game and the impression I got so far is that the game seems very casual player friendly. Nothing wrong with that per se, but if the game only caters to casual players and doesnt have anything to offer hardcore players then it will go down the same road as CoH with endless rerolls because there is little end game content. And then in the end even casual players will quit once they realise that there is nothing worthwhile and fun to do at high levels.

The devs fix the game based on website feedback forums and bug reports and petitions ingame.  Very little of it would come from an unofficial forum such as this as it would require them to read through posts filled with 10% useful feedback they already got on their website and ingame and 90% filler junk made of opinions that add nothing to their goals of fixing the games.  In that, the OP does not contradict himself.

I hear ya brother but, I think asking on this site for people to stop finding faults is like asking bears not to shit in the woods ! Mmorpg.com is so chock full of bitter and twisted haters that its never gonna happen. Some of the negative posts about games on this site are so full of hate it beggars belief sometimes, but then again mmorpg.com seem to allow it so there's not alot can be done about it, but hey totally agree with your post and am totally for anyone saying they dont like a game etc,but all the hate against talented people who make our Mmo's is totally out o order.

    Peace

Oh yeah and Tabula Rasa is alot of fun too !  lovin it !

It's a fun game, but begins losing that fun factor around level25-30ish.

While it had potential they missed the boat. It'll either be a small nitch of subscribers barrly keeping the game trucking on.. or it'll flop like AutoAssault.

Customers have a right to voice their opinion about a product they'll be investing in. If it's not to their liking they either try and have the said product changed or stop investing. Obviously as a business standpoint losing investors is very very VERY bad.

The general opinion is the game is fun for awhile, but there is no meaning.. no sense of accomplishment.. nothing to do other then kill shit.. why? because you have to waste skill points to become a full crafter.. you have to kill to level.. yes cloning makes it easy to make a crafter alt, but maybe that's not what someone wants to do? Options people.. think..

The game could have been better.

Customer support is very fast to respond, but is 95% worthless in helping you. Broken quest? They'll complete half of it (the broken part) even though you wasted an entire day maybe 2 trying to do the said quest to descover it's broken.. that's just BS.. you treat the customer with respect and appologize for the ungodly amount of time wasted on 1 error not of their fault.. complete the entire thing for them and let that be the end of it.. they'll be happy.. you'll be happy.. they'll keep playing.

Then customer support likes to ignore real issues like poor networking coding and act as if you're an ignorant fool.. they seam to not understand i'm a game developer.. been there.. done that.. don't BS me around.

I can go on and on and on.. shooting through walls.. etc..

BTW reverse engineer the game.. it's AutoAssaults =)

Which would explain a lot of issues.. it never became stable status sense release till its death. Rehashed code is a pathetic attempt to make a quick buck.. which they have.

To those that enjoy it then by all means continue playing, but this is just my opinion so leave my opinion alone.. I don't need a flame war.

Also don't try to tell people to stop finding faults when they smack you in the dang face.. I call it as I see it.. I don't specificly look for things wrong, because obviously you'll find them.

You need to learn to not IGNORE the faults.. pointing them out is a good thing.. so they can be addressed.. you people hate whiners, but fail to realize they are the majority of people who get the game fixed in a timely fashion.

Everyones opinion matters.. good or bad.. no one should go unheard.

^-- All my Opinion, please no respone other then your own opinion on the topic it self. Do not single individuals out. We don't need flame wars. Thank you.  --^

I did the beta, and it was a lot of fun and loved it up to lv.20. I could fore see that it will need some time so I'm just holding off for a month or two. Its like every other MMO that came out  you have to give it some time. Try to learn from this like I did.

It's easy to figure out and another thing stop watching for Warhammer and AOC the pre advertisement is bull,  they may not come out for another year !!!!, What I do if pop in and out of massage boards just to see if there giving out beta keys THATS IT !  I dont read up on there sites untill I know i'm in Beta.

Find one that's out already that you enjoy and play it or just stop for a bit.  Do you have to be the first in all of them? If so you will have a big disappointment with ALL of them !!

TR is horrific and full of bugs, ANYONE that plays from level 1 - 10'ish may have fun since the game is new, there after till about 28-29'ish you start to see the same paterns and the game gets dull, empty and boring! post 29'ish the game is nothing more than a repeat with the same mission types over and over and over again, and lets not even get into the looks of the characters, between 30-50 EVERYONE looks the same theres no visible distinction again BORING i can sit and type about just how bad this game is, but fanboi's like your self think your actually RAMBO so nothing else for you to play at the moment, good thing in Jan his movie comes out!

Hm... Let me guess you're an old (or current) WoW player. You have the right to think what you want but as i can see the fact that most players look the same at higher lvls isn't right at all. It can happen that a guild in TR chooses to wear the same color for the clan members and that the players look the same by color but you can change the color of your armor anytime and because of that there is no way that everyone at that lvl looks the same. I have played WoW for some time and i still have some WoW hardcore player friends but all i know that they know which armor someone wears by look of it. How is it possbile? Maybe because everyone is wearing the same armor at max lvl for the specific class because they read somewhere on a forum that it's the best. It's not that case in TR mostly you won't be able to find out which armor and which stats it bears by the look of it or the color it has and if you "enchant" your armor at the crafting station every armor is different then.

So please play a bit more at those high lvls you mentioned you have played and look for yourself. Or maybe you just don't like the game?

I'm level 31 sniper and still playing the game. I find combat fun, no i'm not blind for all the problems, but I'm paying TR customer, are You?

    My question for You is:

WTF are You doing in TR forum if You don't play the game, You don't like the game and You have no interest of playing it in future?
