God I hate IGN, Gamespot, Gamespy, all these garabage websites.

Reviewers of these game sites are fuucking retards.

Pro-Gamers, Clan leaders should be hailed as the genuine gamers not those fuuuckards.

Pro-Gamers dig up one game and one game only till they find out previously undiscovered jewel of the game and contribute significantly to the game itself. And you will hardly see them criticising other games that they haven't even touched.

On the other hand what these retarded reviewers are doing is they jump from one game to another game in milisecond basis and they think they have "expert" saying on it.

I mean how "expert" do you have to be to review a game for Christ sake?

They're judging a game in 1 second that developers have worked several years to finish.

How insulting that is.

It disgusts me to death.

I strongly urge MMORPG.com not to fall into this trap otherwise I will most likely to quit this site before anyone else.

    Yep, companies that have lots of cash buy reviews all the time. Its really stupid but also great for those that know how to spot such 'reviews'. Once you know what to look for it doesnt take long to figure out which sites/mags give honest reviews and which dont, and then make a habit of never ever visiting those sites again.

    Yeah, great reviews for a lame game....::::12::

    What I like is those 'premium' boards charging for access.

    I often just ask the guys at the software game store what they thought/recommended - never gone wrong there.

    As for console games - you can always rent 'em for a few days to see if its worth slappin' down 50$

    They like EQ2 over WoW so their automatically in Sony's pocket? gimme a break.

    Bash em all you want, I love IGN and I dont buy games unless they give them a good review because over the past 1-2 years that I've been using IGN to review games there has been 1 game out of dozen I have bought that I thought was a bad purchase.

    There are hundreds of people on these very message boards who think EQ2 will be better than WoW and there are just as many people who think WoW will be better than EQ2, so everyone with an opinion must all be on some developers payroll, right?

    The guy wrote a comparison review based on his personal OPINION of the two games. IGN gave KOTOR a good review so bioware and lucasarts must be paying them good money, they also gave halo the best xbox game review to date, microsoft must be pulling the strings there too.

    problem is

    both games arent out yet
    wtf with those reviews?::::01::::::01::::::01::

    its not a review its simple publicity

    and IGN is the worst ..just my opinion

    No offense, but did any of you even bother to actually read the whole damn thing? Its long... very long. And he gives lots of examples. So if there's something you don't like about how he described it, email him about it. He invites you to do so in fact.

     Towards the end:

    "That said, not all gamers rate all categories equally, and not all gamers will agree with my assessments. The conclusions drawn are my own, and as stated in the first page of this comparison, they come from 20 hours of playtime in each game as well as my knowledge of the MMO industry. "

    This is not a one second fanboi rant, nor it is a review, and doesn't claim to be one either. Its simply an editorial preview.

    And though 20 hours in each game may not seem like a lot, its WAY more than any of us can claim to have experienced. So don't be so quick to judge this.

    As a Reviewer I'm not even going to touch this one...

    ""Because I believe a preview of a game, and a comparison of two different games is only good as the person writing the comparison or preview. While any Tom, Dick, or Suzy can find a message board and type out five simple words, "EQ2 is better than WoW", those words mean little if the words aren't substantiated by examples. That is what this article is about. It is about detailing and comparing two games, two games that will be behemoths in the MMORPG genre, and that will for the first time in the short lifespan of the genre release very close to each other. It is the proximity of their release dates which causes many gamers to sit down and ask the question, "If I am to buy and subscribe to only one of these games, which should it be?" This article will attempt to answer that question for you."":08::::08::::::08::::::08:::08::::08::::::08::::::08::::::08::

    "This is another very difficult category to rate. Initially, this category was all WoW. However, after Blizzard announced that PvP would be consensual on its normal servers, I can't in good faith give either game this category. Both games will allow for duels, both games will allow for group duels, and both games allow players to duel for items or money. They both will have arena type settings. WoW will also have what appear to be instanced zones on their normal servers where players can enter and PvP. PvP is not in the current build of WoW, so I can't say that what has been reported will be the case. Both games will also feature some sort of PvP special rules set servers. The special rules sets result from both games having two distinct sides, EQ2 having the conflict between good and evil, WoW having the conflict between Alliance and Horde. The key difference here is that Blizzard will have these servers at launch while EQ2 will not have these servers until some undetermined time after launch. In retrospect, I award this category to WoW, because their PvP servers will be available day one of retail."

    about PvP is teh funniest::::28::::::28::

    everything else is better in EQ2 only PvP and only " because their PvP servers will be available day one of retai"
    so conclusion EQ2 PvP servers will be available everything in EQ2 is better

    not enough publicity?::::01::

    Well, he does acknowledge that its just his opinion at least. image

    What if after release, everything in EQ2 actually is better? Not impossible you know.

    Either way, just tell him how much he sucks if you don't like it, he invites input and gave his email.. or theres a whole mass of interesting comments under the article too.
