Probably an old question but I live in the UK and have WOW and can see all the EU servers. How do I create a char on a US server so I can play with my mates statesdie.

Buy a US box - create account - install - voila.
Played so far: 9Dragons, AO, AC, AC2, CoX, DAoC, DF, DnL, DR, DDO, Ent, EvE, EQ, EQ2, FoMK, FFO, Fury, GW, HG:L, HZ, L1, L2, M59, MU, NC1, NC2, PS, PT, R:O, RF:O, RYL, Ryzom, SL, SB, SW:G, TR, TCoS, MX:O, UO, VG, WAR, WoW...
It all sucked.

You can't play on the US servers if you have an EU account.
In other words, listen to the guy suggesting "the obvious route"
As mentioned, If you have an EU account then you cannot transfer to a USA account. Although the titles have the same name "Warcraft", I believe the companies are very different with different licencing agreements. If you ask to transfer to a USA account, the EU company is losing business and thus, probably wont be very helpful.
