If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms

Are you able to build your own or do you have access to a local custom computer builder?
i probly wont build it myself but we have someone who can do it for free. I could i just dont want to risk it.

If you already have a portable version of Windows you could upgrade the CPU to a core 2 duo E4500 (and clock it to 3.0+ GHz), upgrade the video card to a 8800GT, or go for a 22" LCD. You can find cheaper cases but most are not as nice. On-board sound is OK but crappy compared to a basic SB X-Fi.
HTH.
just wondering is it tough to overclock a 1.6ghz to 3?

The e2xxx series are great overclockers, but personally I would invest 10 dollars more into the e2180 so you know you are getting G0 stepping.
I have heard of people getting around 3.0 ghz on the e2180 with stock voltage. Oh and an aftermarket cooler helps when overclocking of course.
--------------------------------
Desktop - AMD 8450 Tri Core, 3 gigs of DDR2 800 RAM, ATI HD 3200 Graphics, Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Laptop (Dell Latitude E6400) - Intel P8400, 2 GIGs of RAM, Intel X4500, Windows XP Professional
Many of the E2xxx CPUs will do 3 GHz at stock voltage with a stock cooler. Those that don't should get there with a small voltage bump. Either way they are definitely viable CPUs at rock bottom prices. Google something like E2140 overclocking and see what comes up.
I wasn't aware of a stepping discrepancy with the E2140 vs the E2160 and E2180. If you can get the 2180 for a little more then it might be cheap insurance.
Personally I dont recommend aftermarker CPU coolers for 'value' systems. IMO the small gains they make in CPU clock do not warrant the extra cost over a stock cooler. If you are building a high end system then it is a different story.
