This game is mediocre at best

Ah what a waste of $50 bucks. I played until Level 30, and what a frustrating time it was. Number one, my system is not the fastest (its about 4 yrs old or so). Now I can run this game on medium settings but the graphics are not anything special and well it should not be so demanding.
Okay now I played DAOC, WOW, EQ, EQ2, GW, Vanguard, COH/COV, and TR. Do you know what is the best out of all of them? Guild Wars (all campaigns and expansion). Arenanet created a fun game and also still play WOW but on and off (getting kind of sick of it, but Blizzard did create a quality game that has some incredible artwork, yes its not a technical workhorse but unmatched in the art department).
Its really shame though since TR was looking to be really amazing but just turned out to be mediocre at best, it may become a great game but not for a long time. Lord British cannot save this one , people allready have stopped playing bad sign IMO!

I also played GW, and its far from engaging, but then again this is my own subjective opinion, much like yours. Try roleplaying, or perhaps play a game casually and you might not get burned out so quickly. I'm not rushing anything, actually reading the missions logs and partakign in CP fights.... and am still having fun.

The most funny is that when You read people opinions, they value so different stuff and some of they view points are so colored. I agree TR is pretty mediocre, there are better and worst games. How ever saying WoW has incredible artwork, I will be doing LOL for long time. Now, the problem isn't that WoW's graphics doesn't do well, it does. It's more like, when people love something, everyting is so great and when they hate something, it's just big shit. That is not how it is. There is allways good and bad sides in everyting.

So TR is mediocre because you have an obsolete PC that is barely able to play the newest MMO on the market. Yeah, that adds a lot of credibility to your opinion.
Sounds more like a personal problem. Add in the comment about how great WoW's graphics are and I am convinced that you need to seek treatment.
There is a difference between artwork and photo-quality graphics. The consistent artistic style throughout WoW is special and overall of very high quality. So the OP's comment about WoW: "Blizzard did create a quality game that has some incredible artwork" is very true. Your narrow view on what qualifies as artwork in a computer game is disappointing.

Did someone say photo-quality graphics? Because in WoW everyting is over sized as graphics, it's done like cartoon for children. Over size ears, clowing eyes and so on. Art? LOL I quest everyting is art, depence who's looking at it. I mean split of shit in road is art too.

warcraft having better art, and TR having more photo-realistic looking graphics.
a lot of people confuse great graphics and great artwork. some games may have a superior graphics engine with the ability to display extremely realistic environments and character models, and other games have superior art in that everything is illustrated exceptionally well.
TR in this case has the edge on the graphics engine, while WoW has the edge on illustration.
*edit* I should add that im speaking from the OP's perspective, not my own. Just trying to clarify where I think hes coming from. I personally love the artwork of TR as well as its graphics engine.

If he had a system that actually showed both at their peak, he would have some valid justification for the opinion, but reality is...yeah, WoW looks great on his old rig while TR doesn't look as good...ON HIS RIG. Well no kidding. Van Gogh would look like crap on a CGA monitor too, that's doesn't mean I should go around proclaim him as a bad artist and that the Blizzard art guys are superiour to him.
Yeah, if he has old computer like I have, he can't even get best from of many mmorpgs graphics. So, how can someone judge graphics, if they can't even use it for it's full potential.
How ever, I find it very funny that when game has just mediocre graphics, then someone just because they like the game so much, start calling it ART. I did not like my self WoW graphics much, but that doesn't mean WoW graphics aren't good enough to please most of the players. It's not that bad at all, just too childish for my taste. How ever it's far from what I have seen in many other mmorpgs. I'm not talking about foto-realistic, because non of them have any foto-realistic graphics, not even close, but they can do better than WoW.

Yeah medium settings are ugly, especially on low textures, but is it really the games fault that you computer is out of date? I'm glad you like Guild Wars, I however did not. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Just because you prefer a different style of game doesn't really make TR mediocre.
