Is Eve playable with Dialup?

in EVE Online

Everyone Ive played most Games/MMROPGs last month a lost my cable and had to go to a dialup

My sys kicks Maj ass ..so Is Eve playable with Dialup?
Need a little input please.

I saw the min rec was 56k But the Min recomended was 67k (I never saw this before)
This made me not go for the 2 day download 2 weeks Trial.

    I had friends playing it on dial up with no problems (patching time was the only issue really)

    Probably worth mentioning that I'm in the UK (I think the Eve server(s) is in Sweden?)

    Unless they changed the servers are in london

    My corp m8 played with dialup from USA for about 3 months. He did complain about lag a lot of the time, but do bear in mind that he was playing across a big pond and most activities were either group mining sessions with lots of drones out or rat hunting. If you sent him a gang invitation in the middle of a fight then guarantee that he wouldn't be very polite afterwards.

    I have another corp member that can only get dialup and is from UK. He has been playing for 3 months and rarely suffers any lag (not that he mentions anyway)

    One thing I remember from beta is a lot of people mentioning what tiny amounts of internet traffic that EVE used. I run EVE in a window and often do things in the background while playing so I can't verify any figures, but I can recall people saying that it used about 10 meg traffic over a few days. Even a 33k modem would take only an hour or so to send or receive that, so that's some pretty neat net-code EVE uses.

    I believe that the HQ is in Iceland and the servers are in England yes.
