Gamerankings.com

What makes this even wierder is that Gamerankings is a sister site to Gamespot as they are both CNET websites.. And even on the front page there is a link to Gamespot.. But all the gamespot REVIEWS have been removed..

 

NEVER MIND.. Gamespot reviews have been put back up..

    Just about as significant as Kane and Lynch, and the Gamespot firing. People get fired everyday over dumb shit, this gerstman guy was nobody special.

    Yep, there was a thread last week, I believe it was. And it doesn't surprise me that gamespot was removed. While a good majority always suspected their "reviews" were biased, the public outcry over Gerstmann and EIDOS pretty much confirmed it.

    I don't even look in Gamespots' general direction anymore.

    Yes it made it to the mmorpg.com boards along with the parodies and such...  People just don't read these boards like they used to though.

    This just makes me hope Yahtzee does a review on Kane & Lynch, he is a cynical bastard indeed. Kane & Lynch has not had a very good reception, so they did not make much a diffrent review then any other website. To me it seems it must be some internal problems or just that they don't want bad reviews for a hyped game to lower sales.

    While I don't doubt Gamespot, IGN, or 1up take money from advertisers and pressure the editorial teams to butter up the reviews I honestly don't think that Eidos was the reason why Gerstman was fired.

    He was notorious. He was harsh. He was kind of an ass. As brutally "honest" as everybody claims he was he did it with the finesse of a dull ax. So much so that I refused to read any of his reviews.

    Jeff was fired for other reasons. End of story. There is no proof whatsoever it was because of Kane and Lynch(which was a game that deserves higher than 6.0 imo) he was fired.

    But I understand if you thought it was strange that Gamespot wasn't listed.
