Tabula Rasa > Wow

Tabula Rasa is one of the greatest mmo releases of all times, hands down. Here's why. When Wow was released it was hyped as one of the greatest mmo's of all times. With an already established powerhouse such as Blizzard behind it, everyone knew it had to be great, and was eager in anticipation of its release. Upon release Wow made the biggest change to the mmo scene ever, that being the community. Wow not only devistated established communities from existing mmo's DAOC, EQ, etc... but it also brought the younger generation into the mmorpg(thanks!). Unfortunately, Wow did live up to it's claims to be a great game, for a while anyway. The idea behind the game and the gameplay seemed pretty cool, so the players decided to stay, for a while. This "for a while" was enough to really "kill" previous great mmorpg's, and when people finally realized wow to be a pointless pos timesink and headed back to those older mmo's they found the communities barren. So, Wow stole the communities of other games and dashed them against the rock of pre-teen immaturity, certainly Tabula Rasa has not done anything this tragic to the mmo community. Also, given that there are only 4 servers and at peak time there are approximately 10-15 players per server(/sarcasm) there's no way it cleared the community from another mmo, well possibly Archlord but that's beside the point. Infact judging from general chat within TR I would even say that it has stolen some of this pre-teen population from Wow, so it's effectively doing it's part in destroying the beast, right? Really the only downside I can see to TR is that it's the biggest pos mmo I've ever played. Sure it lacks content, yea I could only play it to lvl 7 before my eyes were glancing back and forth between my wrist and a knife, but it sucks so bad that I bet some of the younger generation give up on mmo's entirely and head back to the Nintendo WII. Which imho is a good thing. Flame away.

okay  you get one *HA!* for

the nice humoristic work on your wall of text.

on the euro server the Generalchat

is quiet amusin ^^ i dont see much hate there

and people tend to be very helpfull.

Seems TR is just not your thing and youre bitter that games with more quality have been ruined

    by WOW.

Tr for sure is not a deep immersiv mmorpg like UO or EQ or even AC and it dosent rry to be.

Maybe you should have a look at Vanguard.

Its the last big attempt to build such a game and will be for some loong time.

    It had an update lately

    Regards

So basicly TR pwns WoW by stealing its players and raping said players minds with such a degree of shytness that they forever abandon MMO's period and go to console games?

I agree completly, except for the part after "by".

Yeah, only a 4th grader could make any sense of it.  Anyone older just saw a wall of text and a serious lack of even the most basic English grammar.

    I encourage you to

    a) give me a summary of grammatical errors in my post.

    b) Show me you understand what the point was.

I don't give in to criticism from 12 year old easily, so show me you're worth the effort.

P.S. I never meant for this post to be an analysis of the general education level of mmorpg forum posters

So WoW has 900,000,000,00 subscribers and TR has a "pre-teen community" and it makes you upset because you don't fit in either of those crowds.

As if the wall of text alone isn't enough?  For the record....I'm 30 and I happen to be rather good with the English language and conveying my thoughts....because I have respect for my self and my opinion...enough respect to put an effort into making sure I am clearly understood...a respect you apparently don't have for yourself.

If you can't respect your opinion enough to put it in a form that we can clearly read, why should we care what you have to say either?  You clearly didn't consider your own post worth the effort, so I won't put the effort into explaining it to you either.
