will it have Full Voice-Over for NPC like EverQuest2?
you know like you click on npc.... npc will tell you infos and quests ect... with full voice-over.... talking to you and explaining to you with full voice-over and you dont have to read but listen. like ever quest 2 and titan quest.
it adds life and depth to the game if its like that.

I wouldn't hold your breath for such in-depth voice overs. You may get the one liners when you click on them, but other then that it's doubtful. The reason I say this is because they are shooting for a global market. They would at the very least have Korean and English voice overs, but then they may alienate other people who do not speak those languages. Although I could be very wrong, and I do hope I'm wrong.
In the end, it won't be game breaking. It would just be nice to have.
That's a good question! I know from videos that the animations are quite detailed and you are animated when you speak to NPC's, and I wouldn't be surprised if you were also animated in /say chat like in LotrO, but that's a guess ^^
We did see a cinematic where a statue speaks to you, or the Treeman also seems to speak as well, so it is possible that there is voice overs, but I can't say for sure.
For what it's worth you get to pick your voice in the character customization :O

I believe that they said there will be full voice overs in the game. I can't remember where I saw it though.
No, I doubt that. Havent heard anything about it. Voice-overs - yes... all over the game? not likely. (unfortunately)
From what I've seen in Beta videos: there's only full voice overs during the cut scenes, one liners when they start/finish talking to an NPC and when a player does an emote(Laugh and cry). Dunno if they're going to change it for the release. Most likely not.
These are the videos:

Suu is correct, full voiceovers are regulated to cutscenes. NPCs say one-liners when you click on them to talk. They don't read quest outlines to you, lol.

hopefully not, the voice over files in EQ2 made the game installation size so much more gigantic, and for something so unnecessary and gimmicky (though SOE loves their gimmicks)
Voice files in EQ2 are optional content. You don't have to download/install them to play the game. Also the there were only a very minimal set of voice overs in EQ2 when it first launched. The rest of the newer voice overs in EQ2 are downloaded from their servers unless you have a newer version of the game that includes all the expansions + extra content packs.
P.S. A full EQ2 installation with voice overs and all expansions + adventure packs is about 9.5 gigs. Vanguard takes about 17.5 gigs of space and that is with no expansions! LOTRO and WoW each take about 7.5 gigs. Chances are if you don't have room for EQ2 on your hard drive then LOTRO or WoW won't fit that well on it either.
Is it me or are people getting lazier? I mean first EQ had a fun quest system where you typed to talk to NPCs. Then it went to DAoC where you can click a word rather then type. They also started this quest book thing in DAoC and then from there we got the ! things and now people want NPCs to verbally tell them what to do rather then be forced to read it? Seems like we can skip a lot of hassle by implanting computers into our brain and plugging ourselves directly into the computer and instantly retrieve all needed information regarding every quest in the game...
Don't get me wrong voice overs would be really cool. I just can't get over the feeling that people are just getting lazier and lazier.
Or maybe you are just complaining for complaining sakes just to sound cool. Like old people who complain about the "good ol" days that when you think about it were not so good.
Old man 1 - "Remember the good ol days before fire was invented?"
Old man 2 - "Yeah tho were the good ol dayz when some people would furze to death because they were to god damn lazy to spend 8 hours a day looking for wood to make a fire. Now we got that god damn fancy new electricity making everything light up and keeping homes warm with just a flip of the switch. Whats wrong with people these dayz!!!"

I spent a whole day on these boards and already I made a friend! I'm so happy!
Seriously maybe you could try not being a jerk? Kind of, I don't know, think about the point that I was attempting to make that so easily eludes you?
My point is we went from EQ where you had to pay attention to what NPCs actually said, to WoW where you just click strait through and follow markers and map guides. In other words we went from gaming to mechanized gaming.
And if you take notes about what people say, you might read things like where I said "don't get me wrong, voice overs would be cool" and look at least some what less stupid in the future.
A MESSAGE TO ALL DEVELOPERS:
If you do voice-overs, for the love of all things fluffy and cute -- make them appropriate.
It's sad when Dungeon Runners, the free-to-play/download game by NCSoft has some of the best Voice Over work out there.
Stop making every haughty elf have a regal English accent. They aren't English, they're elves!! Use that boundless imagination that created the Intellectual property, or the sprawling city -- or whatever - and translate it to inspired and innovative voice work.
Ahahaha. I love you.
"mechanized gaming"...haha....generalize much? Okay yeah it went from annoying to okay lets get those quests done. No one is forcing you to use search engines like thotbot or to click through a quest briefing so I don't see the point at all. It just sounds like you are trying to romanticize a game mechanic most people found annoying and pretty much dated.
As to the OP's post I think there is nothing wrong with voice overs if they can add them in and do them correctly. At the very least I'd expect 3-4 one liners if you click on a NPC character randomly.
First off, welcome to the forums! And second, these kind of replies are really common around here, I heartily recommend not letting it 'get' to you. Or you might be losing a lot of hair much to the amusement of trolls, don't give them the satisfaction.

Said kinds of replies are common everywhere people congregate, not just forums. I don't let it bother me at allI do appreciate the warm welcome though

Yeah, people are getting lazier, and it's all thanks to modern conveniences. Hey, why go to the supermarket that's 2 blocks down the street when you can buy that 5 gallon tub of ice cream on the internet and have it delivered to your door step?
Anyway, I agree that not wanting to read anything is a sign of laziness, not to mention it would also contribute to the illiteracy rate among the kiddies. When it comes to gaming, I think the biggest and most obvious sign of laziness is the gold buyers. A person can be so lazy that they're willing to ruin the fun for millions of people. Gold farmers wouldn't exist if it wasn't for them.

Actually there are full voice overs. And there will be for all versions. They are not aimed at the Asian market any more than they are aiming at the Western market. They've stated this numerous times.

Wow if you think MMO's contribute at all to the illiteracy ( or literacy )rate in kids that is just sad.
As for gold buying it has direct relation to the amount of grind involved in a game. Games like Lineage 2 with notorious grinds and WoW with it's raid grind just demand fuel the demand for gold sales. The higher the grind the higher the population of farmer you'll get. A lot of people who do buy gold do so because they frankly don't have the 4-6 hours a day to farm it themselves and frankly it's out dated and ridicules to expect them to do so IMHO. The mindless grinds of years past might of been a nice game mechanic to keep people playing back in the day when mostly nerds played MMO's but in today's growing MMO market it's not a wise move for a MMO. If you want to draw in a larger audience you will need to think of more creative ways to keep people playing like ::gasp:: Actual deep and fulfilling game content ::gasp::.

Exactly, it is as if you read my mind. However I still think voice over would be cool, idiots might just click through the quests and play follow the beacon but I'll be enjoying my share of the game that much more Then again I might actually get pissed if someone tried rushing me through the quest if I want to actually pay attention to the storyline.

Did I say "MMOs" contribute to illiteracy? I said anything in terms of reading. (I think you need to brush up on your reading)
Yeah, gold buying is directly related to how difficult it is to get that "Shiny-new-high-level-uber-sword" or whatever, and the demand for it. But, even if getting those items were easy to get, there will still be gold buyers, because half the population wants to hurry up and reach max level, with uber gear, so they can be king of the game, especially when pvp is involved. A busy personal life that results in 1-2 hours play time is not an legitimate excuse to buy gold. That's like saying; "you can't enjoy a game because you're missing those 'boots with super high stats' and you need them so bad and rather not grind for it." So, now that newbie sword that used to cost 100 gold inflated to 1,000,000 gold because of gold buyers/farmers, I have to bust out my credit card to purchase it? Someone shoot me, please. All economies end up that way the moment people start buying gold and explodes exponentially.
When it comes to making a game, companies only have a limited time and budget to produce them. Because of that, it's difficult to add detailed content. Most companies don't have the financial power compared to SQUARE-ENIX and BLIZZARD. You can't expect them to dish out wonderful games as if they're easy to make. Also, it's only been 10 years since MMORPGs started to grow in popularity. ALL game companies are still in the process of learning how to implement ideas into MMOs and learning exactly what people want in those MMOs.

Where do I plug my brain. I tired of reading.
Oh yeah...currently Aion takes 20gig of space on a Hard Drive. There must be some content within the game.
