CCP and their credit card issues...

I'd really appreciate if an active player of EVE would forward this post to the official forums. You see, you can't post on the official forums without a valid account login. In order to get an account login you need to activate an accout through their website and that requires a billing setup... Here's the catch...
On the forums there are SEVERAL threads from folks about a recent bug/feature/issue where CCP's system is failing to validate credit cards. This seems to be almost random. The thing is, these folks can complain because they have valid logins. I am not a current customer, but want to try the game. I *CAN'T* create an account do to this credit card validation issue. Thus, no account, no post on the boards asking about this issue!!!
I found at least 3 seperate threads of *CURRENT* customers complaining about this situation. I wonder how many customers, like me, CCP has lost due to this bug and the inablility to contact any support about it. The Contact link only gives me a phone number in Iceland... Uhm, no. Not going to pay international phone charges just so I can sit on hold with billing.

what i've done is that i've used the credit card of a friend.

Did you try the 14 day free trial? NO CC redquired for that.
I dont know why they wont accept debit cards. And you could of signed up at paypal and then paid through their paybycash option which would of made you able to use your credit/debit card.
Now paybycash.com does not accept paypal. And they dont accept debit cards. Now no payment options support credit/debit hybrid cards. Which is stupid since a small majority of their playerbase uses them.
No idea hopeflly they willg et it sorted. There is a sticky in the forum now and alot of poeple have brought it up. SO far their reply has been bleh like usual and they sometimes show no common sense. Well see what happens because my subscription runs out in 3 months and I use a debit card. Im not going to get a regular on debit credit card either.
I could just pay by money order but that is bleh. I like something thats instantaneous and worry free.

the thing is I heard about this issue before
the problem was very fast fixed by ccp and I should suggest email ccp about this problem
too make a post in a forum dont help you fast but if you email ccp then they first will contact you
and ofc fix the problem. (ccp dont want to lose custemers and there a nice bunch of service minded people)
btw you must register the creditcard with the same adress and name as the bank have register the credit card to be able to make a account..

I use my Paypal account to play EVE, which I pay through Paybycash.com. I have never had any tropuble paying for may account this way. I would be very interested to hear if other folks have had problems, as my account is up for payment this week, and if thay have stoppd taking paypal, I would like to know!

It has come to our attention that there is an issue between PayPal and PayByCash. Unfortunately, this is an issue between PayPal and PayByCash and is something that is not within our control.
If you are paying your subscription through the above method, you need to contact those companies if your subscription is up for renewal. Unfortunately, the GMs are not able to assist with this issue and will most likely advise you to contact both companies or hit the following link.
