Nothing quite like RuneScape...

in LFGame

Well- As many of you know, RuneScape has come to a fast and unpredictable crash into the abyss of MMO's. They dug their own hole and cant get out. I quit, Played again, and found it worse than before...

 

I want to know if there are any other games just like RuneScape before it all came crumbling down...

 

Can anyone help me out?

    I haven't played Runescape in a while but I used to love the game so I'm curious as to how it has crashed? It was a great game during the days when I played it, though very underappreciated. What happened to it?

    I second that..

    Ive played years ago and was addicted as a kid then quit. I know the community is horrible and gold farmers are bad but what else?

    The community was horrible in free-to-play but the people in pay-to-play were awesome. I never felt robbed of my money even though it was cheap per month.

    Lol it's funny you should mention the gold farmers, they are kinda the cause of all the bad stuff that happened to Runescape. Well you should be happy to know that Jagex has effectively eliminated all gold farmers and real-world-traders but to do so they made the wilderness safe and replaced it with an arena about "40%" its orginal size. In other words, PKing was pretty much taken out of the games and replaced by some mini-game.

    Apart from that Jagex also is limiting the amount you can trade and stake in the duel arena to a cap of 3k. So you can't trade anything for somthing that isn't worth in a range of 3k and you can't stake anything over 3k period.

    Wow, that's horrible. That is WAY too drastic in my opinion. I can see that as being the downfall of Runescape.
