Fury Goes Free to Download and Play on December 14th in order to get its population up. Although the people that choose to play completely for free wont have the same luxaries as someone who buys the game for 20 bucks its still a pretty good deal.

I want a bloody refund. The game was fun for the first few weeks, till it was just next to impossible to play cuz of 100s of glitches, mass healing just like in Guild Wars which I hoped wouldnt have been in Fury...

Seriously Auran..... I want a full refund

    I believe its $14.99 US.

I bought TR after i realised what a joke Fury had become in the way of bugs and poor performance, and was so happy to be apart of a game where things get fixed, get balanced and are continuosly improved :)

You wont get the hardcore PvP for a while tho i believe...

    Cheers,

I was considering buying Fury, but got Tabula Rasa instead. I knew Fury would fail.

TR is $15 a month, or $40 for 3 months and so on. Great game and getting very popular.

You can't really compare TR to Fury.

TR is an instanced PVE game. I tried it and tbh its okay for a bit of fun but don't go there if you want PVP.

Any game that has PVE and PVP is gonna be limited.

Thats whats kool about Fury. Just PVP means abilities aren't balanced around killing NPC's.

I have no problems with Fury going free2play. I bought the game .

Anyway why would I get upset about more players trying it out for free?

TR is not instanced. Sure it has some instances, just like others MMOs, but mostly of it isnt instanced.

But TR and Fury are completely diferent kind of MMOs. Fury is totally focused on PvP and TR is totally focused on PvE.

I played Fury during Beta and at least during that phase it hadn't any PvE aspect.

I was looking to see if it was worth getting back into ($50 was too much for the issues and low FPS I was having). I was trying to figure out the pricing system based on the new info.

    http://www.unleashthefury.com/index.php/fury/article/how_do_i_upgrade_from_chosen/

    I thought Australia spoke English..

"Looks good right? So now all you have to do now is follow these instructions and your in!

    1) Purchase a FURY Authorisation Key online or from any good retailer. You can get this Key direct from us by clicking here for as little as $19.99 (yes I have not typed that wrong!).

    2) Once you have purchased FURY you will be given a Authorisation Key (check inside the box or your email inbox or junk mail folders) to find this, you will need this in a moment.

    3) Click here to goto the FURY Account Management page. Once logged in click on the 'Upgrade Plan' link on the left hand side.

    4) Add your FURY Authorisation Key, click 'Continue' and Bob's your auntie , you are now a FURY Hero - congratulations!"

So you get access to the game, limited loot/exp? Is it worth it or is this a last ditch cash grab? The forums seem to be down atm for the next week and a half or I'd ask there.

It really depends if you are a Die hard PVP fan. If so give it a try and if you like what you see cough up 20 bucks and take advantage of the offer before december 31st. Basically the offer is if you buy the game before the new year you get the subscription based Account type free for life.

  • zaltarzaltar Member UncommonPosts: 125

Anyone who registers their account before Dec 31 can get a free upgrade to immortal status which is the highest level account type they offer , this is the normal subscription based account . So you can get the subscription account for free without having any monthly fees for life.

Basically, you can play for free, with a lower 'XP' and gold rate. You also can't trade with other players, IIRC. These are "Chosen"

You can, if you wish, upgrade to the normal free play by buying the box for $19.99. Those that chose this path are labeled "Hero" for easier penning. As opposed to Chosen. At that point, you're also moved up to the usual shitty 'XP' rate, and gold drops.

Then, from Hero, you can pay some amount per month, $9.99?, to get a new label, "Immortal" which provides you with the ability to be ranked on the ladders, and ummm, a slice of stale pizza they found under the Lead Artists desk.

From Hero , as stated already you can upgrade to immortal and have the sub fee waved for life if you register your account before Dec 31.

If you have never tried this game then why come to this forum and make baseless claims about it ? There are no " XP " rates in Fury . Perhaps you would be better served in sticking to the wow forums rather than continuing your little crusade against a game you know nothing about because you personally don`t care for it`s style .

I have played this game since Alpha, for the record. That's why I didn't bother to buy the box. Because I knew it wasn't done, and it'd go no where. Got nothing to do with not liking PvP, or whatever excuse people are using to cry themselves to sleep with this week.

I used the term XP. I put 's around it. Presumably to indicate to anyone with a basic grasp of the language called English that I was referring to it in a generic sense. Unfortunately, I obviously forgot that I was dealing with the intellectual elite of MMORPG.com. ::::08::

Yeah, Fury calls it Essence. Other games call it Skill Points, or XP, or wasted time, or what the fuck ever.

Fury Essence is best thought of as a kind of spiritual experience point.

In the end, I tried to explain their current pricing scheme to someone that had a question about it, from a laymans POV, without being an anal retentive prick about it, but alas, it clearly wasn't enough for you.

I will, however, continue my crusade to destroy a game that seemingly doesn't need my help to fail. /sarcasm

Fury allways looked kinda wierd. I didn't think there is room yet for a Hardcore PvP game. I think WAR will do a good job with conforming PvP to whatever they like it to be. It'll be a start!
