WoW houseing..

Can anyone tell me if there is houseing currently in WoW or if there is something like that planned for the future. From what I read on every forum i could find related to WOW i didnt find anything about being able to buy/own a house.

There is no "player housing" as yet, present in the Beta. I have yet to find info regarding the possibility.

To be honest, I hope they dont put housing in. It just lags the game, and is only needed for 2 reasons: To transfer stuff between characters and to have a place to show off your L337 stuff. Housing is good in some games, such as camelot, where you could hock your wares with your merchant (Even mythic did a crap job of that)

They already have auction houses, so that takes care of the selling your stuff option, and as long as they provide plenty of vault space to keep your stuff, and maybe put in a way to xfer stuff between toons in your bank, like EQ did, we will be set.

Houses are just a waste of what little money you may earn in the game, and possibly screw up the economy.

There is no houseing in WoW beta right now, but Blizzard did say something about adding player houseing in the final product.

i hope they neve rput housing into WoW UNLESS the deem only certiain areas can be used like right outsdie a city or something, i played UO for around 3 years (near release not all the tweaked crap now a days) and houses were EVERYWHERE it became a pain in the ass and kind of ruined the enviroment of the game when your in the middle of a forest stalking a couple ogres and as your dealing with them you need to weave between houses and such

Blizzard has stated many times that player housing will NOT be implimented in the initial release, but in one of the first in-game patches. Basically that's saying that they're already looking into player housing and such, but they realize that there are many more important aspects to the game other than whether the character can have a house that does nothing in the middle of nowhere.

All you peoples that want houses will get them, and they'll probably be implimented at a time where you actually can afford them and have an idea where you want it to go.

housing can be used for better regen as well as convenient start place. Otherwise, its just a cash sink when lvl-grind gets too numb you can deck it out with nice couches and sh%%

Can you rest in a house as you would an Inn? Can a house be sold to another character on the same account at minimal pricing (Yes, sell it to yourself so that a low level character will have a place of his own without paying as much.)?

I am yet to pass judgement on housing. It might be a huge waste of time and money, or it might not. I haven't heard much of anything you can do with your very own house so I am not too sure that I want to buy one.

Okay I played SWG for one year and I'm here to tell you housing is overrated....Just give characters oversized bank vaults and leave it at that. Most houses just collect junk and some valuables...maybe allow Guilds to have guild halls....don't get me wrong I like decorating my house with treasure and all, but do we really need a place to sleep?? Well maybe in WoW we do....the houses just eat up the landscape though. It looks like a bunch of tract housing everywhere in the end...

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Thousands of people are probably going to play this game and since the world only has so much space, where are all the houses going to be? It would suck if they had to result to instanced houses. Everyone goes into one house and somehow magically appear in your own.
