No it wont be out for awhile still. But i have seen some pre-release boxes in stores.
Whats wrong with Doom? Its a classic and from the alpha i played of D3 it should be pretty freaky.

Last time I checked it was August 5th release date.
I LOVE everything Doom, I still play Final Doom with the snazzy win95 launcher, LOL. I have tons of maps, mods, total conversions for it.
It is still my fave FPS and I cant wait for Doom3.
Now if I could only afford a new PC to run it

have an 3,2 ghz amd 1536 mb memory and a ati 9800 pro so i geus this is gonna be fun for me
talking about hl2 when i got my graphiccard i got a note from valve with it with that steam shit it seems that i can download the game as soon as it comes out so i tried it and now i can download hl1 to
now i am waiting for hl2 to come out so i can download it

The available doom3 alpha and Halflife2 beta you can get online are soooo beyond bad. Do not get them or you will ruin your experience for sure.

From what I heard from before the review everyone seemed worried that the game would be real short and span only a few hours. However the reviewer said that on the medium setting it took him 23 hours. Can't wait for the game now. Pictures looked amazing and the reviewer had nothing but praise (mostly).

well - im a big fan of doom - and highly anticipate its release - but my bubble was busted when i came across the unreal engine 3 vids and screens - i have to say it diminished my excitement for d3 and hl2 even though its like a full year away from any discussion of there next game
