Jin Jitrok's story

LoStCaUz3LoStCaUz3 Member Posts: 1,154

It isn't much and it isn't very detailed but I only took about 20 minutes to write it. You might not want to read it because it is sort of long, but here it is.

Name: Jin Jitrok
Race: Troll
Occupation: Thief

The figure walked through the gates draped in a forest green cloak and stepped into the shadows behind the pub. He moved as silently as one would imagine an animated shadow moving. Slipping through the door unheard and unseen, he took his place in the corner stool located in front of the bar. The bartender hardly noticed the figure until he saw something move out of the corner of his eye. the bartender walked over to the figure hunched over the bar.

"Sheire thalasmouk..." The figure said then quickly cleared it's voice. "A pint, please." It said in a deep yet scratchy voice. The cloak's hood was pulled far over the brow of the figure so that no one could make out the face of him.

"That wasn' common tongue ye was speakin', was it, boy?" The bar keep said as he picked up a glass and began cleaning it with a cloth keeping both eyes focused on the mysterious being. "What's your name?" He asked before even before the shape could reply to the first question.

"Jin Jitrok." Jin said still looking dow at his hands folded on the bar covered in soft leather gloves.

"That don' sound human to me, and only humans are allowed in my bar." The barkeep retorted.

"Well, we seem to have a problem then, don't we? For I am hardly human." With that, Jin quickly reached at his waste and unsheathed his dagger slitting the mans throat. He sheathed it once more before the man even fell. The glass the bar tender was holding seemed to fall in slow motion before he ever fell. the glass shattered on the cobble stone floor and then the body slumped down beside the broken shards of glass. Before anyone could respond, Jin was on top of the bar. A man wheeled around to the door trying to run, the rest of the crowd was stunned. Jin looked around at the crowd staring at him and then leapt across the room. The hood of his cloak flew back revealing his scarred Troll face. He had landed, One dagger to the mans throat and the other at the end of an outstretched arm in the gut of the nearest target.

"Does anyone else have a problem with a Troll ordering a drink here?" The troll sneered as he mentioned his own race then swept across the bar with his gaze. There was silence until two men on opposite sides of the room stood at the same time, both drawing their swords. Jin slit the his hostages throat at the same time he plunged the dagger into the other mans gut. He pushed the man off of his dagger with his foot and sent both daggers flying in opposite directions.

They spun through the air as the crowd of people screamed in horror. It was a sick site to see both men slump to the floor surrounded in a puddle of blood. Jin walked to the man to his left and retrieved the dagger then repeated the process to the man on the right. the crowd traced his movements with their eyes but none made a move or sound. He went about his business as if no one was there. He reclaimed his seat at the bar and reached back to find a pint. He downed it and walked silently out of the pub as the crowd parted while he walked through them.

As soon as the door slammed shut, the inside of the pub turned to chaos. None dared leave to alert the human guards for they knew what awaited them if they did. Jin pulled the hood over his brow once more and continued to stalk through the streets sticking to the shadows and avoided confrontation with guards at all costs. This even forced him to hid in a young ladies house for a few hours. She dare not ask who or what he was, because he flashed a dagger to her as he closed the door behind him after walking in uninvited.

"Be quiet and stay in this building and I may leave you with alive." Jin said in a menacing voice. He turned away and began to trot up the stairs to look out the window and see if the guards had lost his trail but then he slowly turned to the woman seeing she was staring at him with a dazed look. "Do you have any parchment in here?"

The woman nodded slowly and pointed over to her husbands desk in the corner of the room. Jin sat down and began writing. He finished writing a few minutes later and unsheathed his dagger. He got up and walked toward the woman and pulled back his hood. "If you tell anyone I was hear," Jin raised the knife slowly to her throat and made a shallow cut to draw a bit of blood. "I will be back and I will kill everyone you ever loved in their sleep."

With that, he threw his cloak back over his head and headed out the door. He made his way slowly to the local thieves guild.

Jin arrived just in time. No one had entered the room for more than a week and a half. The Humans had a meeting scheduled for that evening pertaining to what to do with the rival Rogue guilds in the area. Jin pulled a spare dagger out of his boot and stabbed through the note sticking it to the dagger. the dagger's handle was carved out of ivory and it was designed in the shape of the Dragon, Alextrazsa. Jin then turned to the stairs and found a spot to hide in the rafters to hide and wait for the leaders of the Guild to arrive.

Not more than a few moments later, the leaders of the guild entered the room talking and joking. In no time at all, the dagger caught the attention of the actual owner of the guild, Godo. He cursed under his breath because he knew that dagger from somewhere before. It once belonged to him, but he could not remember where he had lost it. His old gnarled hands grasped the dagger and he examined it closely, by now the rest of the people that followed him into the room had been silenced.

A young man that had apparently just joined the guild pointed at the note and stammered through his sentence, "S-sir, the..there is a n-no-note on the table." The old man noticed it and snatched it up quickly and hunched over it to examine it closely with his eyes. it was not written in the common tongue, but he could still understand it from his journeys around the world. He read it to himself and his eyes widened. He translated it to the common tongue on another parchment so that he could show the others.

The time has come,

Time to repent for your wrong doings

Time to admit to the things that you have done.

The time has come,

The time for you to die for the things that you have done to me.

The old man backed toward the door and began to open it. "It is already too late for you, Godo. It is already too late for all of you." Jin said and he dropped from the rafters of the building and landed in a crouched position on the table. He stood to full height slowly and threw back the hood of his cloak. His scarred face was a brutal reminder for the old man Godo. He quickly tried turning the knob but his old and nervous hands fumbled with the lock. Jin launched a dagger across the room and it landed just barely an inch away from Godo's head. It still scratched his chubby cheeks and he turned quickly to face Jin. He too threw the dagger attatched to the note but Jin ducked under it and grabbed it by the handle and sent it tumbling through the air into the crowd of people. The young stammering man ducked just in time to dodge the dagger and it went straight into the eye of the only woman ruthless enough to become a leader of the guild.

The dagger continued to push deeper as if fueled by Jin's hate for the group of people who stole his life away from him. She fell to the floor and the rest of the grouped backed away and drew their weapons. Jin snatched the last dagger from his belt and flipped from the table over to the the wooden door to retrieve the other. When he had both of his daggers in hand, ran across the floor to the nearest person and sliced and diced everything that his knife could touch on the person's body. He finished him off with a sharp stab right into the throat.

Jin continued slaughtering the elderly humans until he was standing face to face, his long slender nose almost touching the young stammering man's. "I don't know you, nor do I care who you are. What you have witnessed here today is redemption for what happened many years ago. I suggest you run far from here and tell no one that you know me or any of these people that have paid there dues. And because you are innocent, I will not kill you as long as you swear on the life of your loved ones, you will tell no one who or what you saw today." Jin said this very slowly stopping in the middle so that he could put his hood back on and sheath his daggers. When he was done, the young man nodded his head very quickly but refused to say a word in hopes that it really would save his life.

Jin walked out of the room and out of the town. When he was a few miles into the wooded area surrounding the town, he ducked into a nearby cave and removed his cloak. He sat with his legs crossed and his eyes closed in a trance-like state. Then, the nightmares came back to him...

Just over thirty years ago Jin sat in a similar cave. It was just a normal day in the lands of the Horde but not such a normal day for him. He wasn't as calm, he was unsettled for some reason but he couldn't put his finger on it. Just then, a party of bandits burst into his cave and began ravaging his things, he remained hidden but just before they left, he shifted uncomfortably and the leader of the party snapped back and looked into his direction. It was Godo looking right into his eyes. Godo's human eyes could not clearly see Jin, but still he knew that Jin was there. He launched a dagger into the darkness and it hit it's mark. The same dagger that Jin used to kill the only woman impaled his stomach. Jin was shocked and he collapsed into the light of the cave. The party of raiders stole his belongings then they tried to steal his life.

Wasting no time to see if the Troll was dead, Godo and the others left the cave with their new found treasures. Jin Jitrok wanted so much to die in that cave, just give up breathing but he couldn't. Every time that he felt himself slipping into the cold darkness, he would look at than dagger and some force fueled him to rise to his feet and take that dagger, and kill the men who had tried to kill him.

When the dream was over, the Trolls red eyes snapped open. He had done it, he had avenged his own death. But it wasn't enough for him. He continued searching the lands for more blood. For more human blood.

Thanks for reading it if you did.

I read about half of it, up to the point where the female rogue dies. Jin is too powerful. Noone could be so perfect and still be believable. And its kinda cliche', the kind that makes you roll your eyes.

Are you thinking about becoming a writer or were you just messing around with it?

Nah, I don't write a bunch. Hardly ever now. First time I wrote anything for any reason since maybe the 5th grade. I skipped out on most of the writing assignments through middle school.

image I thought mine was better! heh, nah that was pretty good story, and i like when the characters are too powerful, it makes it better when they finally go down somehow.

Not bad, just wanted to say that i doubt the use of "Pub" or "Pint" would come up in the Warcraft universe. More apropriate words would be, Inn or Tavern.
