Hey guys! The post count in this forum did not go down; the post count in General went up. The SWG forum area was kinda messy and General/Current SWG sections were basically the same thing; I merged those two to help save space. The MMORPG.com moderation staff is not affiliated with any of our advertisers or any other MMOs. I take forum-bias very seriously and do regular moderator reviews; if you feel that the moderation is being bias against you, an idea, or a game please email me immediately at community@mmmorpg.com.
But the SWG Vet forum had over 3 times the post count of the SWG current. You have merged all those forums together which now gives the false immpression that current is vastly more active than the disgruntled vet forum. Should you not swap current and vet forums around in the list as you know that the vet forum is vastly more active. This would be more relevant to your customers who use MMORPG, which means you are serving our needs better.
Seems to be a really wierd thing to do, unless as we all know $OE has basicly told you to do it. To once again try and mislead future or past customers.
Im just stating my hunch that these changes seem fishy, they are a benefit to $OE, not your MMORPG customers. Theres absolutely no denying that.
I have to agree with dark on this one. It seems VERY fishy. Especially that the two said merged really didnt have issues in the first place (minus name similarities, why not just delete one?). It just looks like spin doctoring from where im sitting.
Why would one move us in second place and give them more posts from another section? Hmmm..

Anyone who analyzes the moderating done here will notice a bias against critics of SWG, while noting that "fanbois" of SOE get away with tons of flames and personal attacks against us. I had a post deleted for no reason that was about a FEATURE on your own website and a link to your own article. Since I didn't use any foul language, nor did I attack any other poster, AND the post was on the subject of SWG, the only possible reason for it's deletion is pro-SOE bias, since all I did was point out how "well" SWG did in the MMOWTF "awards" last year ("won" all but one). Until you quit allowing stuff like that to happen, this site's reputation will continue to be that the publishers who advertise with you (like SOE) own your editorial content and your moderating policies.
Keep in mind that there is a REASON for the discontent with SWG and SOE, and it's the CU and the NGE. Note that it's by CHOICE that SOE and LucasArts stuck with that version of the game not even offering us classic as an alternative. Anyone who sides with SOE against us acquires a piece of that taint.
Fact of the matter is that SOE is a bad MMO publisher and the gaming customer needs to be informed about them. That happens to be my opinion, but it is backed up by ample facts. Example: SOE President John Smedley stated ON THE OFFICIAL FORUMS (and a post that was convienently scrubbed from the forums later) that the "CU was here to stay". This was less than 4 months prior to the introduction of the NGE, at a time when the NGE was clearly well past concept stage and into production...

I would also disagree that swg is 'crap'. The game needs love. It's like a beat up car that in the wrong hands sits in front of someone's house and is an eyesore, but in the right hands could be restored and shown at car shows with pride.
I choose to have hope that one day we will have a precu swg. After all, Smed said a lot of things and then went back on his word. Based on this, we most definitely WILL see a precu server at some point.

well it is not that i am alone with my opinion , i will stand any vote over what is the best version of SWG with me voting SWG PRE CU and with your current version as alternative.
oh yes a lot of vets and me know that strategy of "silence the negativity". $OE deleted every post having the word "PRE CU" in them for a long time. We heard alot about "it makes progess","give it time " wasn't that 6 months ? now we have 2,5 years.Its time to stop this LAME stupid tactic of "silence the negativity" and the game becomes magically better ,it don't helped you for 2,5 years, why it should help you any longer ?
