The Future Is Bright!

Im quite confident i'll be playing a really decent MMO within the next 6 months. My thinking goes like this...

If Aion, and Age Of Conan turn out to be no good, by the time i've tested these two released games, Vanguard Saga Of Heros will be polished, and an all around excellent game. Im not taking my eyes off VSOH. I think it has real potential. Give it six months, and it will be upto the quality it promised for the years it was in development.

I think alot of people are waiting to see what happens with that game. It could be the next logical step for alot of EQ2 players, and Star Wars Galaxies, vets. What do you think?

    AoC will be a decent MMO, and confidence is good! Taking account for possible delays, the next 12 months will offer something decent for players that have acquired various tastes in MMOs. For example, cute-lovers will have Ragnarok Online II to look forward to, pretty-lovers will have Aion to follow, rated-R-lovers will have AoC to drool over, and WoW-graduates will find a good alternative in WAR. I must apologize for the one-dimensional stereotyping; each game has many appeals, but it will take long to go through more of them!

    However, 2008 can become dulled by the continuation of "WoW-misinterpreted" gamer/developer mentality which creates the same problems that fuel most of the complaints made in these forums. With that risk in mind, I would say that (in the farther future) 2009 will be even brighter!

    Although I agree that there is a population of individuals (in the thousands) who are waiting to see how V:SoH will progress, I believe that among EQ2 and SWG veterans, the majority of those even considering to play another MMORPG will be looking forward to future titles - any dated MMORPG (regardless of transformations) will be at a disadvantage when competing against a future title for new players. Nonetheless, going from EQ2/SWG to an improved V:SoH is an especially plausible step for SOE Station Access owners.

    If Vanguard ever offers a free trial, I will give it a shot. Yeah, I am that cheap, but more importantly I want to get a feel for the game with a heavier population. I do not relish trying to play a MMO that has the feel of a solo game and free trials have a way of spiking a population that offers many players at the same lvl I would be at.

    Me 2 by the time AoC is released and others also failed DARKFALL will be released and stun the mmo world witha brilliantly made mmorpg nobody cant refuse.

    Spring 2008 it will be the day earth stood still DARKFALL is finally amongs and its the big bang of the mmorpg community:)
