Well which of these games is the best, they all are basically the same lineage 2 style games. Anyways im looking for the one with the most amount of classes/class diversity, and the coolest world to explore. Lineage 2 had some awesome environments and i want something like that.

I havnt played much of either of them, but i have played them all... sorry i cant give you more info, but IMO Last Chaos was by far the best, and most L2 like . Archlord was boring, with not much to do. Shaiya was poorly made, and glitchy, and i cant remember much about Rappelz ;p.
Ive played them all. Rappelz has 9 classes (3 per race) I think archlord has 9 i forget. i think last chaos is 2 or 15 i cant remember and shaiya has 18 classes ( 6 races man!) well i hope my advice helps!
shaiya is still in closed beta ( almost in open) so it is going to be buggy and sorry for sounding like a jerk.
So rappelz is best or last chaos is best?
out of all 4 i would pick shaiya but out of those 2 it depends... do u want the new grinding epic 4 rapellez or last chaos which has really good graphics and is pretty fun my opinion lol)
It depends whats fun about it, I mean is there a lot of variety in the classes, are the battles intense, is the world vast with cool places like the pirates cave lineage 2 had. I really like classes that are unique and varied, and i like exploring.
All of those games are grind fests. That should say enough.
MMO migrant.
rappelez battles are not fun... u click no skills needed and they die... cool isnt it?!?!?!?! shiaya depends on class if u want fast paced be an assassin or a ranger last is same as point clikc etc.... so do whatever but just think about iwhat i said ok?
So nothing you can tell me about the classes/world though?
Archlord has 3 races and 3 classes for orcs and humans. Elves only get 2 classes to choose from in the game. The thing is though with Archlord the classes for each race are parallel to each other in design.
Human - Knight = melee fighter
Orc - Berserker = melee fighter
Elf - They have no melee fighter
Human - Archer = range melee dps
Orc - Hunter = range melee dps
Elf - Ranger = range melee dps
Human - Mage = Caster
Orc - Sorcerer = Caster
Elf - Elementalist = Caster
I have very little knowledge and no experience with Shaiya (so I can be totally wrong with what I am saying), but I feel that none of the listed games will have the degree of class diversity and world appeal that you are looking for. With free download options available, I think you should spend some time to try them out and see for yourself.
As you mentioned, they are basically the same style of games. Rappelz, Archlord, and Last Chaos all offer relatively similar class selections and level of world exploration (although Archlord kind of give a different atmosphere). I would choose Rappelz, but my reason is different from classes or exploration.
Are you looking for a game that feels like L2, or specifically a game that offers an environment as rich as L2? Do you only want a pseudo-medieval fantasy theme or a f2p game (only p2p titles for the most part can offer as much as L2)? If you are open to options outside of the four listed titles, I would suggest Granado Espada: Sword of the New World - the game is f2p and offers good "party" diversity along with stylish environments.
In SotNW, you control a party of three characters selected from a list of characters that you assemble. Although the game starts out with 5 stock character classes, the classes cover some 40+ stances, or "skill sets" depending on choice of attack weapon or category of magic. You will have the option to quest/explore to unlock unique playable characters, each with their own sets of available stances or specialized stats. There are 40+ unique playable characters (adding to a total of 60+ stances) avaiable to include in your character list; unfortunately, you can only hold up to 36 (unless they changed the limit) characters in each server within one account.
SotNW environment graphics is closer in quality to that of L2/GW than the games previously listed. I suggest looking at screenshots for better reference - searching "Granado Espada" through Google images can help.
What SotNW lacks is a good amount of character customization (appearance for the most part), a good early community (not much interaction due to afk-leveling as result of Auto Attack option), or a good selection of end-game content (not much activity outside of fighting). However, if class diversity and world appeal (not limited to medieval themes) is your main concern, I strongly suggest giving SotNW a try.
I can only tell you , I downloaded Shaiya , and uninstalled it 10 minutes after.
As for Sword of new world - i still have it on my HD. It is actually quite fun to play...reminds me a bit of Dungeon Siege ... but the problem is that there is no WORLD CHAT , so the game does not feel online at all.
I would strongly recommend you - Perfect World , it is kind of a blend between WOW and Lineage2
With wasd movement, huge world, good graphic , and 6 classes 4 races ... and not forget the best character customisation in any MMO free or sub
Ive played SotNW and I have to say a collection of instances really doesnt feel like exploring to me, I mean have you gone through the graveyard, the pirate island, or alligator island in lineage 2? Most the areas are extremely cool and its all non instanced.
I've been playing the open beta for Shaiya and it's a lot of fun. Anyone can download it and you don't have to pay any money like you do with stupid fileplanet. I loaded it from ausgamers.com
The PVP RVR zones are great. They have PVP RVR zone limits for every level range so no ganking by much higher level players and you don't have to wait til endgame to PVP and make a difference for your side.
It's not a grind at all, it's just like WoW. It's both quest experience and mob killing experience but quests offer some good rewards and better experience.
It's an item shop game, so I don't know if I will play it when it goes live, but it's well produced, good UI and graphics, and I have had very little framerate issues even with 50-100 players in proximity within a PVP RVR zone.
People who want customization won't be happy, there are 4 races and 3 classes per race, but very little physical customization and everyone wears the same armor per level range. There is a little more flexibility with weapon choices but not much.
I am level 16 at the moment and have found no instances which is very good.
But are the areas cool, are there graveyards, pirate ships, ice castles, ant nests, underwater cities, floating towers, etc etc..
I tried Perfect World. It's sloppy animations, tedious controls and uninspiring combat sounds make Rappelz look better.
Last Chaos is another I wasn't impressed by. Gender defines class? No thanks. And the world looks bleak in design as well as clunky animations once again.
Have not tried archlord or shaiya.
IMO, as much as I hate the game's current state. I'd say Rappelz is top out of the games you mentioned.

I downloaded and am trying shaiya, one thing that sorta sucks is I die instantly to anything even a tiny bit above my level. And the world is really tiny, is it a newbie starter area or soemthing im stuck in?
I have played all the games you have mentioned except Last Chaos and out of the games you listed I would say Shaiya was the best out of them. It is basicly Lineage 2 + jump, also the diffrent modes easy, normal, hard, ultimate adds some intresting features and I loved selling things to the enemy in warehouses
Another game you might want to look at is RF Online it is like Lineage 2 but with an added Sci-fi twist
I've tried all of the games you've mentioned and only Shaiya has kept my attention for more than a week. Last Chaos was uninspiring at best and almost all areas look the same. Rappelz and Archlord are so much like L2 I got the feeling that instead of playing a cheap rip off I should just go play L2 again. Perfect world is good and I do play it but it does have some issues. The main one is a slight delay on skill use that gets rather annoying but over all it's a top notch game. Sword of the New World plays by itself and seems like it was written by gold farming botters or something. You can literally put your toons in an area and go watch TV for an hour and when you come back your toons will still be merrily killing away, Very boring.
Out of all of your choices and the others that have been mentioned in this thread your best bet is with Shaiya or Perfect World. I would however kind of lean toward Shaiya in your case as you mentioned that your looking for something more L2 like. Just so you know though none of these games have the world diversity that L2 had but these two do come close.

I looked at shaiya, and well didnt the sounds bug you guys?
It wasnt just that, the pvp looked lame.
Perfect world pvp however !! woo that looks great.
They are all pretty decent when you consider they're f2p. Archlord was a really fun game when I played, probably because of friends. If you want a good f2p game, I suggest Dungeon Runners(You can use everything in the game since last patch), RF Online, Archlord, and Shaiya. You won't really find much of a world to explore in either of these games. They're all just your standard f2p mmo, small maps with warps to the next map. If you're looking for L2 in any of these games then you will be greatly disappointed.
well they are all F2P games so dont expect much. most of these games only have the basic 4 or 6 classes (ppl say like 14 or somthing but there just repeated classes named diff for a diffrent race) game like L2 are very deep and have great class verity, dont expect that kind of great verity in there half baked F2P games...probly why they are in fact F2P.

I cannot comment on Archlord or Shaiya, as I have only played Last Chaos and Rappelz.
From personal experience I would choose Rappelz over Last Chaos any day. It is clear that the developers have put more effort into the game than the developer's of the latter. Last Chaos' graphics looked pasty at best, despite the deceitfully pretty screenshots. It also felt very unprofessional in the way that there were tiny bugs and combat was lagged and boring at best.
A friend incidentally started playing Last Chaos when I did too. Neither of us knew the other was playing. In the end both of us were left extremely disappointed at what looked like a promising game.
On second thought, Shaiya looks and sounds good. I might try it out...
