What archetype will you play?

I'm curious which archetype is favored here. Personally I have played Ranged DPS type classes the majority of mmorpg gamelife, but in WAR I think it is my least appealing archetype. It's up in the air for Melee DPS or Tank as my main, and my primary alt will be Support/healer.
Which archetype do you guys think will be your primary?

I will prolly end up playing a Tank class like i always do. But i want to try All sweet Classes on the Army of Destruction side
I'm going to start with a Warrior Priest. So support/healer here.
Although I know they won't fit into the tank category, they look like they can take a few hits.
at first i was thinking about making a chaos chosen tank, take damage , give out damage, be the last one standing , but when i was how cool the dark elfs, empire whitch hunters, and high elfs look, i cant say anymore,
if for a main, im not so sure. chaos chosen dose look awesome, but im wondering how the dark elf sorcerer and blackguard is and the disciple do.
here is how it might end up
1. chaos chosen,
2. dark elf blackguard
3. dark elf disciple
4. dark elf sorcerer
5. empire witch hunter
6.high elf shadow warrior
7. high elf swordmaster
8. high elf white lion
Chaos Chosen, Witch hunter, Warrior Priest, or Black Orc for me. I'll tool around with them all until I figure out my favorite. Also depends on my guild (made up of RL friends) really because they will all probably pick one race so I'll make my main in whatever alliance they are.
I voted Tank BTW because I was thinking Chosen mainly, but it's that or Melee DPS.
12 percent for the RANGE DPS Class? wierd. Other than Melee DPS thats usually the most popular.
I'll probably try a mix of classes but I'm a rogue at heart so I love the melee dps, however the tanks in WAR sound pretty cool they have a purpose in rvr and the BLorc sounds awesome.
Not really on topic but as I said I'm a rogue at heart and love the fact that stealth will not be in. Gives me a chance to step away from them and try something new.. Doubt I'll touch a support/healer I know they are alot different in WAR but its just not my thing.
Seeing as all my rl friends plan on playing destruction I wont be able to play my beloved dwarves!!!

Seriously though, cannot wait to be able to play my favorite role as healer and get to pound some heads!

first of all, pretty much every class looks and sounds imba so its hard for me to make a choice. i have allways played melee or ranged dps, but allways wanted to be a tank or healer, but coulnt bother to lvl them up because of the slow dps. So this is my chance to reroll, and think im gonna get a darkelf Blackguard, Disciple or Chaos Zealot / Chosen ... ( no, i dont want to be a greenskin...)
I'm always the healer class, my wife usually plays the DPS (Ranged usually) and somebody has to be around to keep her alive, LOL
I find these results to be a fair bit different than I expected, with support/healer leading the pack. Perhaps EA Mythic's promise that there will be no healbots/buffbots has people more interested in that archetype, which is a good thing because it can often be a challenge to find support characters.
Then again, it is a small sample size, and forum posters tend to not represent the community as a whole very well. I find they tend to go in the opposite direction the larger, typically less experienced and less hardcore audience goes. The average newbie chooses a heroic guy that does tons of damage and looks badass, while a lot of veterans know that is cliched and purposefully avoid that.
As for me, I will likely be playing what is looking to be the most underplayed profession there is - Knight of the Blazing Sun. Seriously, like no one has said they want to be one (I blame the fact that they look so...ornate, and so many other professions seem cooler). Then again, even my own willingness to play one is heavily dependent upon the "chanting" and "twisting" mechanics being to my liking and not a total headache. I am not going to be an EQ Bard again.
If not a Knight of the Blazing Sun, then either a Warrior Priest, a Witch Hunter, or a Swordmaster. I definitely want to play Order and I want to be in melee range, kicking ass. In past games I usually am a ranged character and I want to try something else now.
I agree even though there's a small amount of people in the vote I still did not expect Support/Healer to be in the front. I think it's part in what you say about botting and another part being the whole new way that Mythic is approaching the healing classes in general. I must admit the way they are shown to us is very appealing to me, and that comes from someone who has never ever played a healing class to max. They arent even my usual choice for primary alt characters.
When they said Disciple would be a Dot/Lifetapper I almost wanted to change right there
Disciple, Zealot, and Warrior Priest are all so attractive.
Oh and I am planning on going Knight of the Blazing Sun
, but there is a slim chance I will go White Lion as well. Hell at this point I can't say with 100% certainty which way Im going.
I want to go a melee dps or a tank ether one not a big fan of range class or healers but this game makes me want to cheack them all out.
I will play a tank because no matter what they will be the lowest played class and the underdog like always.

Too... many... choices!!! But if I have to choose based off of just what I've read and seen I think probably a Chosen, Black Orc, or Disciple... although marauder, squig herder, witch hunter, engineer, sorceress, magus, and zealot look fun, hehe.
I want to try a lot of them. Leaning towards Chaos Marauder, but will have to try them all. Except the elves! :P

Thats my favorit class. At one point(CU era) I had a master squadleader in SWG. One of my most played character in EQ2 was a Troubadour. My main in Lotro was Captain. In Tabula Rasa I play as a Medic.

I'm a little disturbed that at least half the people in these threads have Chosen in thier like "Top 5"...
With that said, Chosen is my number 1

What does disciple count as? They're some kind of support damage healers. Otherwise I usually aim for the support ones so I choose that option.
I think I will go support/healer (Order).
Lots of people will be tanks, or light melee or casters/ranged DPS, but support/healers are always in short supply, and tricky to play, are usually in demand for PvE and RvR and can, if played well, turn the tide of battle.
I am thinking Archmage because I like "pretty" races, I like caster/ranged attacks, I like to heal and rez as needed and I like High Elves.
But I hate to pre-guess these things.
I will have to try several classes to really know what I like best.
Shadow Warrior (archer) sounds interesting. Witch Hunter (light melee) also sounds good. But I suppose there will be tons of those guys running around.
