Is Maplestory a good game?

I personally think there is nothing to do in maplestory. When i first started playing which was my first MMORPG i was amazed at how impressive it was. When i first played there were only 3 servers. The people were really nice and hardly any1 swore or cussed at you cuz you looked stupid or anything. I met lots of nice people back then but now you find people who just cry and beg and cuss whereever you go. Now there are many more servers to choose from. I lost most of my friends that I met online because the game had started to loose its potential to intrest good players. Plus there are too many hackers that kill the game by a landslide. I don't think there is any other game i've played that had that many hackers. I the beginning the GMs were inactive as if they were corpses so hackers thought "hmmmm, i won't get banned so lets make a program to hack this game" and so they did. Then people started to leech the hacking program. More and more until a hacking revolution. Then GMs started to rise from the dead and stop the revolution, but people still hack. This is just the gameplay but lets talk about updates and cash shops.

First of all the updates don't come very often they come in like 2 months at least. Making it boring and nothing to do. The cash shop has many items to choose from but they all need a lot of money just to get items that expire in 3 months. They make the game useless unless you have money to buy all that s*it. Anyways, i have played this game till lvl 79 and finally realized "Why am i wasting my life on this stupid game? I'm such a crack head" so then i stoppped playing but afterwards on the very same day as my b-day i met a person who played it and influenced my best friend to play maplestory when he stopped playing. And this person has used over $200 on nx cash. I don't know how much more he'll use.

So that was my maple life story. It's somewhat tragic and you can say that im a nutcase but w/e.

I have to agree wit hboth of you.
I play MS for relax - first time i levelled up to 18 lvl and stopped playing. After 2 months went back and levelled another 8 lvls. Right now i have much more interesting games to play (ok, i'm a freak and i play Baldur's Gate first over and over again) but once a week, sometime less sometime more i go back to MS just like i go back to UT and play, cause it is sooo simple and relaxing to jump over monsters, move around by cursors etc.

Nexon directors are quite wise and they don't sell in nx shop super-duper-powerful things, but they sell many unneeded, cool-looking things that costs only around 1$. I think, if i was americain and if i would receive big pocket money i would like once a time not to buy a snack, but buy some cool loking stuff.
But i'm not, i don' have any dollars except some really old received as a gift from my mom 10$, so i'm not buying nothing and i'm satissfied, that i can go back after half a year of not p(l)aying and everything is ok.

And btw, you say that is just levelling over and over again... is there any normal mmorpg that is more than that? I mean is there any mmorpg that story line as interesting as Baldur's Gate? NO!

And Guild Wars is not MMORPG! IT have a plot, but you can show off with newest weapons, cause they're not visible in cities :D
