For now there is no open pvp as randomly going around pk'ing people, the only pvp is guild wars and siege wars so far, and yes i think there is crafting
guilds can take part in one of three types of events
the first is pointwars in which you fight mobs for honor pts these honor pts will qualify you for guild siege wars.
siege wars are when 2 guilds battle to obtain higher standings. one guild will earn the right to attack a higher level guild in an attempt to steal their level of guild hall.
the last war is guild wars which are completely freindly wars for no ranks or fame.

im not sure about player housing, i know theres guild halls in the game tho
