How would you rather pay?

Monthly Fee by a long shot. I don't understand how anyone could be happy paying per item. AchLord tried having an monthly and micro payments, any other MMO that tries that can go to the bargain bin.

I would prefer not to pay at all.

    I play MMORPGs for

    1. World Immersion
    2. Character Customization
    3. Deep Questing
    4. Varied Content (solo, small group, full group, raid, epic, task, routine, delivery, etc.)

    Developers want me to

    1. Raid
    2. Grind Faction
    3. PvP

I play CoD 4 for FREE online (after you buy the game) and it is more complex, challenging, intense, and fun than every MMORPG out there.  In terms of PvP, no MMORPG can compare.  Besides, give me depth to an MMORPG in terms of a PvE experience.

I neither play WoW nor eat fast food.

Why, would you compare two different game types.First of all call of duty 4 isn't a massive network game, its a first person shooter. Most mmorpg developers charge money monthly so they can get money to open new servers or too keep theirs going.MMO's focus on a massive peer network when fps are based on a peer to peer networking type.

I Kind'a agree with both methods,( monthly sub's & micro payments) if you want a game that updates automatically and has a true tech support team,( not a bunch of auto form bots and email links) and strives for a fairly high standed, then a monthly sub game might be what you want.

games of this type include games like WOW, CoH/V, DDO, Linage II, EVE, DungeonRunners etc...

I also like playing the free to play also known as the micro payment games, which let you purchase ingame items, that let you have minor advantages, their your choice if you wish to use them or even buy them and I have not found to date, a micro payment game that requires me to buy an item  that I need to complete a quest / mission or even continue game play.

games of this type include, Archlord, RF-Online, metin2, 2moons, etc.. and this list could go on for a bit.

    Games payment systems I would Not like to see used or I would not vote for are;

    1) Pay to play beta games, who came up with this? this is really stupid! it's not bad enough that we can't buy a completed game anymore, now they want to charge us for helping fix there games before we buy it.

    2) payment systems that don't let you suspend your account and delete your char's when you cancel.

I wouldn't mind Micro payments if they were just for fun stuff. (Like pets, houses, items and trophies for your character houses, and armor attachments to make your set of armor look different and to your style.) But I will always smite any easy way to have an advantage, especially in a PVP based MMO. I want to have an equal chance as everyone else.

Micro payments don't go to the bargain bin, sorry.
